I would think we all would kinda know where we are in line. I would hope ppl aren't trying to cut in line.

Cut in line at a beer release?! No one ever would do that!!

I think that's a good move by Voodoo--makes me feel more comfortable that if I'm going to stand out in line all night, that my spot in line will be secure from the inevitable line cutters.

Well maybe at the end of the line. But I think after spending all night in a line drinking with people, we'll kinda know lol. I'm assuming leaving chairs where we are in line would also be a good indicator.

I can only recall 1 occurrence from last time where someone was in line already but left to go to walmart or something to buy a chair(s) since they didnt have one or it was for someone who was in line with them? I dont know the exact details. Anyway, it caused a rukus for a little because the people towards the back of the tent were not impressed by them getting back to their spot via the front of the line. Also, the people around him didnt really speak up for him to defend that he was already there. I was #7 in line but was at the back of the line at that time sharing beer with some of the people who didnt know if they would make the cut for apple brandy black magick. (Only mentioning this to state that yes you can freely move around to share beer.) I think this time around it should be much less tense since there isnt a cutoff for the first XX amount of people getting something that the rest arnt. If everyone just acts cool and is friendly to their "line neighbors" it will be another awesome time for everyone.

Once I had established my spot in line with my chair and met my line neighbors (except for the dude who was pretty much already passed out and at some point threw up next to his seat, but i didn't notice this till we all had to elave the tent), I freely walked around talking to people without problems.

There is no saving spots for people correct? Like one guy can't line up at 11pm and his buddy comes the next morning and jumps the line.

You are correct. That would be a dick move. And I realize it happens frequently at releases but the way Voodoo sets up "cattle shoots" in the tent, it makes it very obvious to everyone around you what you are doing if you do this.

Anyone ever show up, with a chair, hang out for a while, then head back to their car for a hour or so of rest before returning to the line? Im almost positive my wife will succumb at some point and need to escape for a bit.

Also, anyone have an Prairie Bomb to trade IP? Message me, Id love to get a couple bottles.

Man, my wife is really cool about supporting me with brewery trips, stores, etc. but there is no chance in hell she would ever wait outside, overnight for beer.

I was surprised when she agreed, with little hesitation. She reminded me that Im at every show she does (shes a ballerina, has performances 6 times a year, 6 shows in a weekend each time), so shes down for it.

    Shes a keeper.

the wife wants to come, but we think you guys would be too loud and our newborn and 2 year old wouldn't catch a good night's sleep in the tent.

My wife bowed out of the line pretty early last time. She woke up and got me Sheetz, then took my place in line so I could get a few hours sleep. Didnt cause a problem.

I was napping/heating up in the car right before the bracelet giveout - the Voodoo guy even paused for Shilt to go get me.

It's worth noting that you didn't have to wait overnight to get a full allocation last time.
