Stopped into Brilbeck's today. Nothing terribly exciting, but they did have Palate Wrecker.

Bombers? 4-packs? I know they still have bombers at the Co-op—$8.59/ bottle, I think. I am more than happy paying that, after trying it a couple weeks ago. Damn . . . want want want.

Bombers. Though I'm afraid I did not notice how much they were. Sorry!

Nah, it's okay. Co-op's right around the corner from my house, and knowing Green Flash prices I feel they've got a good price on it. Thinking about picking up a bottle of Le Freak there tomorrow, actually . . . not sure I've ever had it super fresh, and these bottles should still be only a few weeks old, if I'm not mistaken.

On that note, the batch of Ruination I saw at Wegmans the other day say best before 7/2/12, meaning they're only about three weeks old. Suuuuuuper tempting.

I am pretty sure I saw 4-packs of Palate Wrecker at Brilbecks in one of the corners, where they keep the DFH beers. Also, if you like imperial stouts, they are carrying both the Vampire Slayer and Blaecorn Unidragon by Clown Shoes for $6.39 each. Compare that with Galeville, where they are going for $9.99 and $10.99 respectively.....*sigh*

Ooh . . . I would like to try those two stouts. But yeah, my two biggest complaints about Galeville are: 1) prices are not clearly marked, and 2) prices can be all over the place.

Well someone should tell Bribecks they should check their pricing. Unless Sheehan had a major price adjustment on them. 9.99 and 10.99 is standard markup (I'm fairly certain Unidragon cost more then 6.39 to me wholesale). If I remember correctly that might be a tad over on the Vampire Slayer and a bit under on the Unidragon.

Not sure how Galeville is priced outside of that.

    Could just be on clearance?

Think I'll swing by J Ryan's later tonight, if anyone's around. That's me in my avatar so I shouldn't be too hard to pick out, if you run into me.

I doubt it was clearance. Bought it the same day they got it in.

Galeville has Palate Wrecker ($13.99) as well as Stone IRS ($8.99, incorrectly labeled as $7.50 on the bottle)

Hope they charged you $7.50... lower price always wins!

Hey not sure if anyone is interested in this...

A few months ago, on the old thread, many Syracuse Ba'ers expressed interest in hosting/attending some tastings. Nothing materialized, but the Rochester/Buffalo BA'ers are pretty adamant about running some get togethers. I am more than excited (and plan on sharing my bottles of 2011 Surly Darkness and Surly 5). If anyone wants to ride out with me on the 19th... let me know. These folks in Rochester are more than welcoming to any BA'ers from the upstate NY area.

    Cheers!!!!

Ha. That is a legitimate question. Galeville is all over the place sometimes.

Yeah, they were 4 packs, sorry. I think I saw bombers a week or two ago as well, although I can't remember the price.

Pouring growlers at the Syracuse Real Food Coop. Also, new DFH Urkontinent and Duchesse de Bourgogne are in.
