I've got some Verboten in the fridge right now. I think it's pretty good. My first dubbel was the one from westmalle in a 750. I've been wondering if there is anything comparable in a more affordable format (I normally buy by the case).

$5 for Rochefort 10 is money well spent in my opinion.

Anchorage? Affordable? How much is it up there? I'd give up access to everything on that list for Anchorage at $10 a bottle!

Green Flash Rayon Vert - $9 per 4 pack. Don't know if it is available in Penn though.

At that quality- none that I can really think of in a case format.

The Ommegang Abbey does come in four-packs for like $11-12, and that's very good.

My favorite is St. Bernardus Prior 8 which costs $15 for a four-pack. If I'm only getting a small amount I'll just go with this one.

In Quebec you can get their bombers at 2 for $9 or $10 while in Ontario you can get a case of 24 for $48.

Another vote for Unibroue. La Fin Du Mon and Trois Pistoles both 9.99 4 packs here(Massachusetts).

And one more vote for Unibroue. Very good beers for a decent price.

New Belgium Trippel, New Belgium Abbey, Leffe, Affligem usually available for about $1.50-2 a bottle. For that price I'd rather drink a fresh IPA, seasonal brew, hefe, etc.... If I want a Belgian I'll pay extra. After being exposed to some of the best that country has to offer, it's hard for me to drink the cheaper versions (even though they are still good beers).

They are down here too. Honestly, Unibroue Belgians are the only ones I'd put against those actually brewed in Belgium. Pure class.

Saw a 6 pack of Merry Monks for $10.99 today. Not sure if that's a good price, but it seemed reasonably cheap for a Weyerbacher beer.

We have Rochefort for 5.99 each down in Texas. I think I've seen it closer to 10 in other places though.

Unibroue is $8.00 in Nebraska for 25.4 oz/750ml bottle, a good value when you consider the quality of La Fin Du Monde and the comparative prices of Chimay or St Bernardus. I'm guessing Unibroue is cheaper because it does not have to travel as far to get here.

Besides what has been mentioned, Grimbergen Dubbel 6-packs are like ~$15, which is a pretty good price.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Blvd. 4 packs, always great beer, and pretty reasonable pricing.

As already stated, New Belgium has 1554, Abbey, and Trippel, all for about 10 bucks a six, and Ommegang has Abbey Ale, and Three Philosophers for around 10-12 bucks a four.
All are very good beers at a great price.

Great Divide has sumpin' called Heyday, I think, which is a "Belgian-style" blonde ale for about 9-10 bucks a sixer here. Not a bad American take on the style, at all.

It seems like the American Belgians are still like 1 or 2 $ dollar more expensive than 90 % of the beers in Belgium.
Obv. the Belgian ones should cost more money due to import, the American ones seem to be priced the same.
Which is a pricing strategy that is very relevant for sours. Honestly, I think American breweries are screwing you guys systematically by pricing local beers only slightly below or even higher than EU imports.

Even in this tread I see a Unibroue beer prized the same as a Chimay of the same size. Does that make any sense if you think about it?

    Leffe Blond * 6 bottles in Belgium comes down to 4.82 € = 6.52 $.
8 bottles of Leffe Brown does come down to 9 -10 $. I am assuming that the people above are not referring to 8packs.

75 cl. bottle of something decent like Chouffe or Lindemans Cuvee Renee will set you back +/- 4 $ here. 75’s will be close to 5 $ if you want to get something pretty swanky.

As for the actual trade question. Orval 4packs is what I usually buy @ +/- 8.30 $, slightly expensive but worth it.
7.5 $ for a 6pack of Duvel if I want to go cheap.
