Founders Harvest Ale (2013)

Spoke with my local Founders distributor yesterday and she said they plan on releasing it on Friday Sept 27 (at least in SE Michigan, but I'd assume it's the same for the whole state). So depending on which day they deliver to your area, it should show up in stores sometime in following week. I can't wait!

 

Can't get to excited, SW Missouri seems to sucking hind teet when comes to getting any Founders that's even remotely hard to get. Not sure why I could get plenty 2 years ago & now not so much. So much like KBS, if I see it, yeah, but most likely we'll be on some stupid 1 bottle per customer deal or something equally depressing

 

Last year, one of the Walmarts where I live had Founders harvest ale on the shelf at $7.99 a 4/pk. I can't believe I passed on it.

Any update on release date? Sept 27th in MI & OH still the plan.

A Surly rep responded to my buddies inquiry about Surly WET and he said they made 1/3 of what they did last year.

 

Any idea as to whether or not they are distributing a large amount? Will it be hard to get? AI Black IPA is already mostly gone around here and the first shipment of BS is too.

 

Apparently their tanks were tied up with Furious. They recently bumped up their distribution to everyone and their mother. Hence the new brewery upgrade in 2014.

 

I watched 7 cases disappear in 60 minutes. Then i watched 1 case disappear before the distribution truck even left my local. I got three 4-packs. Its really good, but not as good as previous years.

 

last year my father was able to buy a whole case from one of the bottle shops in Rochester, NY. it was glorious.

 

First couple shipments in CLV were tight and then we got a motherload (something like 6 cases) at my shop and I dropped a hundo on some Harvest to sip for the next couple weeks. It too, was glorious.

a store where I was at had 2 cases that got lost in the shuffle I guess

should I imbibe or wait for the freshie???????????????

 

The Brown Derby in Springfield gets almost everything that Founder's produces. I know this because one of my family members works there.

What do you think the shelf life of Founders Harvest is? I live in SC and I saw it on shelf for months after its release. Just curious.

& Joplin & the rest of SW Missouri get near zero. Already a 50 mile drive for me to get that. Now at least I know where the wholesale pipe is clogged...
