Hey, on the bright side, you'll still have an endless amount of awesome beer available to you. And if you haven't had TRVE... Benjamin Franklin said beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy. I think flights are proof God loves us beek geeks and wants us to be happy :grinning:

Indeed; perhaps if I didn't have such great options in my backyard I would be more assertive in trying to find a way to get growlers of TRVE.

And I have had TRVE a couple times, and been pleased with everything I have tried from them so far. I have always left wishing I could have brought some beer home with me....even if it was not in one of their own, awesomely designed growler.

I think the original reason for the 1-fill per month concept was capacity. When they first opened, they had no capacity at all and a single busy night could/did kill their supply. That has since increased, so I wouldn't be shocked if they could make an exception.

Didn't they also deny growler fills on occasion? Even if you did purchase the membership?

I think so. I don't recall the specifics, but I'm pretty sure there were no-growler days or weekends posted on Facebook last summer.

Good to know they still have CVLT memberships...

I had one of the first memberships and went down 5 times after they opened and never got the growler filled because they were low on beer each time. Ended up giving the growler to someone who lived closer and I think it's worked out for them pretty nicely.

Anyone crack one of these today? Picked up two and debating on trying one soon or wait a couple weeks.

Pros, they've been waiting on label approval for awhile, so they're not all that freshly bottled if that's the concern.

    That was my concern, thanks.

Was there yesterday, got a CVLT membership, but didn't grab a bottle yet. They have a ton.

Let us know how it is!

Growler (32 oz) fills of their regular lineup is around $9. Not that cheap, but whatever their beer is great.

Any idea on the chances they have any this Saturday 9/28? Flying in from So Cal this week.

They should. The wall was full of cases of this stuff. Send them a message on facebook or twitter.

Was at TRVE tonight with DividedAvery to get Vexovoid and try a bottle. Took 3 home, and interested to see how it develops. My guess is that it gets dryer with time as the brett eats through more of the digestible stuff in the bottle. Other notes - let it warm a decent amount, both to get rid of some of the excess carb and to allow the fruit aromas and flavors to come out more. It probably drank best in the low 50's Fahrenheit. Also, like with some Crooked Stave beers, I preferred the flavor profile with the dregs. Adds mouthfeel and fruit flavors. It's a very pineapple-oriented brett character. I think I detected some smoked malt in the malt bill...it's a very unique flavor profile on a brett beer and very well executed for a first bottling.

I also confirmed that CVLT memberships are still available, which is great news because Grey Watcher is still amazing and is one of the few session sours around. CVLT member bottles are $12 or $13 instead of $15, with more near-term barrel aged bottle releases coming.

Just stopped by picked up 3 Vexovoid's and a '13 CVLT membership  The membership saves $3/bottle. Filled my new growler with Grey Watcher as well thanks to Josh's recommendation, haven't had it yet.

BTW they still have bottles, 6 per person, $15 is the regular price.

Does anyone know if these bottles have silkscreenee or paper labels? I'm building a beer bottle fountain with bottles/growlers from local breweries.
