    The last one was locked for some reason (???) so here we go. I liked the updates as stuff came and went. Cut down on the people needing to ask in eight different threads what was available. Also, nice for locals! So on another note does anyone know when Banana Cream Pie Ale is going to be released at the brewpub?

    Have to say the Tasting Room in particular gets flooded at times with people calling and asking whats available. So putting up a thread like this can limit the amount of those calls and that way the bartenders can better serve and focus on those folks who are in the tasting room. Good info but, "welp" kinda makes your info come across as less then friendly.

    This is extremely true. Talking to employees over there it is a pain the ass for them to have to watch paying, tipping, customers sit there ignored while they answer the third call that morning asking if the new blah-blah-blah is in. While we are discussing good behavior let me throw out there that you tip in the amount PRE El Catador discount, NOT Post. Unfortunately a few overtly-thrifty ElCatz are ruining all of our reputations by tipping very minimal and post-discount at the brew pub on a regular basis. Also, as a future expectation, if you show up during peak hours at Cigar City (Saturday late afternoon into evening, 4-6 on weekday) you are going to waiting for awhile to pick up your El Catador stuff, trust me on this one. As a common courtesy try to show up in off hours or at least be patient. Once again, the few "Entitled" El Catador members are earning us a reputation through showing up and being very demanding at times. The actual, relatively over-worked, low-compensated, employees are not earning much of anything spending 5-10 minutes pulling the El Cat stuff while people sit at their bar getting frustrated about not getting their beers refilled.
    Alright, off my soap box, my $0.02, thread shit away. But if you have ever worked in a service industry I think you would agree with me on these notes.

    As of Saturday the brewery had the regulars, Big Sound and a few bottles of Gentlemen's Club on hand...

    The Brewpub had GG, MZ, Last Spike and the regs.

    Banana Cream Pie is being released at the Dessert Party on Wednesday night. It will not be available in bottles and growlers were yet to be determined as of last week.

    Tropical Tripel and White Oak Jai Alai are available across the street at TW.

    As of Sunday 9/23, the Brewpub also had Gourds of Thunder on the shelf (no limit). It is also on draft as well as their collab beer Tropical Triple.

    You actually use your discount? You must be "overly-thrifty." My girlfriend and I both have memberships and we have never used our discount on beer. The only thing we used our discount on were a couple shirts. I hear what you saying about tipping, I have worked (and still do work) in the service industry for 18 years. I tip well no matter what the total is. If you tip by the beer and not a % of the total, it takes care of everything. I just think you could have gone about your post a little differently then name calling.

    I use the discount and just tip the amount of the discount on top of my regular tip. Buck fifty a beer, which is plenty healthy. I've also been throwing an extra buck 50 on top of my usual growler fill tip when I Catador pickup for my trustees and myself.

    Why in the hell wouldn't you use the discount? If anything it allows me to leave a greater amount for the hard working staff.

    I generally leave $1-$2 per beer/growler fill. If i have more than 2 beers, i leave a $5 minimum. So say, 3 pints = $15, i leave $20. After that it goes up depending on how many i have or the bill.

    As far as the discount, i just tip what i would have without it. So in the above scenario, my $15 bill becomes $13.50, i leave the same $20.

    I always decide with tie-breaker rounds of water for 15.5% vs 15%.

    They had several in the cooler at the Brewpub last night and I counted several cases at TW on Monday.
