Mayan Mocha is really good. My only complaint is I don't feel like there's enough chocolate in the mocha. A little more of that and a little more pronounced cinnamon and nutmeg and this stuff would be mind blowing. Right now all I get is coffee and habanero.

But like I said, really good stuff. Love how thick it pours.

I don't get nearly as much habanero in the bottled MMS as I usually do on draft, but it's still great stuff.

Not sure exactly, I paid $34 for two 6-packs of MMS and two single bottles of Greenbush's Unicorn Killer (which I thought was awful), and tax/deposit. Not sure what the price breakdown was, probably around $26 for the two 6-packs.

It's funny, my biggest complaint is how thin the beer is. I think the flavor is spot on, it is simply lacking body. I think with some added viscosity this beer is truly special, as it sits now the beer is just simply good.

Weird. When I poured it out I thought to myself "Damn, that's almost as thick as Founders Imperial!" Different strokes and such.

This is my one fault with all of their stouts, they have good flavor, but no body.

Just paid $8.99 a 6pk at Champanes last night for Mayan Mocha. Cracked my first one last night and found the body to be a bit thin but not overly so. Found very little coffee presence but was heavy on cinnamon and nutmeg with just the slightest heat from the pepper. Definitely going to be a one and done dessert beer for me but was hoping for more of a chocolate and coffee presence like the smell had me believing I was in for.

I wish they had a little more body and a little higher ABV. Mayan Mocha Stout is one of my favorite beers, so I'd love to pick up tons of it and drink it year-round, but I don't think it'll hold up very long.

To the locals: Is there any bars in Grand Rapids that have OddSides on tap on a regular basis?

The Winchester always has Citra on Tap(personal favorite restaurant of mine). Otherwise, its quite random. I didn't see it on tap at Hopcat last weekend. May want to call around. Check on Graydon's, Logans, Hopcat, etc.

I've been to the taproom before but I'm coming up in a week for 2.5 days and while I'll have nothing to do but go to breweries and beer bars, I prolly won't have the means of transportation to get out there. Unless, I can convince my moms BF to drive out there, which I don't think he will, then I'm struck.

Damn! Now I might have to try and convince my moms BF to take a ride out there. That sounds delicious.

Yeah this is a great barley wine and super thick. It really is hard to drink more than one haha. I wish I had a bottle of this to see just how it would age.

Enjoying the Mayan Mocha and Black CPA, the latter maybe more balanced than Founders Black IPA? Certainly not as in your face, just easy to drink. Had a bad bottle of Mayan Mocha with about an ounce of muddy looking (and horribly tasting) slurry that poured into my glass. I really enjoy what Oddside Ales is doing (forgot to mention CPA, Bean Flicker, and Simcoe Sensation all being solid beer) but I have had a couple of bad experiences with their bottles this year (bad 6'er of CPA when it first came out). Hopefully they continue to improve their bottling consistency.
