the pretentious Beer glass

Convo started.

 

From my somewhat extensive experience of blending IPAs and Sours (bstyle may chime in and remind me that he showed me the light), my favorite blends are between fruitier IPAs and less funky sours. AWAs work really well in a lot of cases, such as RR sours, if they aren't vinegar forward. My preferred blends taste similar in many ways to Hop Savant, but I suppose I prefer the ability to manipulate the sour/hop levels to preference.

I think fresh Cantillon blends very well because it is lighter and has much more citrus than funk. Tilquin also works extremely well, but I hate to waste a bottle of precious Tilquin if I have Cantillon to use. West coast IPAs work well if they're not too pine-forward. A lot of the Midwest stuff works well (ZD, Two Hearted, Head Hunter).

I almost grabbed that set one time, but if I recall, isn't it priced stupidly? Like $50-$100 or something?

 

the glass is somewhere around 50 euro plus shipping and conversion rates and all that jazz...plus the beer sounds mediocre at best...but what a glass!

 

Can you still order these? Last time I looked the site was all screwed up.
