I believe the next Heavy Machinery (Wet Hop) should be out this week. I heard possibly tomorrow, but definitely by Friday...based on how awesome the other ones have been I will be grabbing a ton of these this week.

Fresh Squeezed is so fruity and delicious, it makes me really wish we had gotten it fresher in TX

Well, yes. It's not like they have a quality product.

Packaging sells product. Rage if you don't like it, but you're screaming at a wall.

I think that TBB logo is creepy and off-putting. But there is no need to hire pros for big bucks. Throw a graphics student at UT a 6er or a few, done.

Some recent logo fails by pros:

The breweries you named have good branding and Josh's logos pop, but I think a student that keeps in mind some branding techniques (uniformity but flexibility, eye-catching, usually crisp, recognizable from more than just front dead-center) can do a good job at low costs.

But that's what was being talked about. The label and the design of the brand, not the beer being produced. I'm all for art and attractive branding and I've definitely bought beers because I liked the label, but at the end of the day its about the beer.

Yes, but you either have to have attractive packaging, or crazy word or mouth to get people to ever try your beer. Clean, simple logos and label designs that allow a customer to identify your brand automatically put you far ahead of other new competition.

And that is what we're talking about. A customer that has never heard of your product is going to pick something else to try if you have crappy branding. Why would they assume that your ugly bottle has a beautiful beer inside?

Average customer yes, but the average customer doesn't drink craft beer. I'm referring to those of us on this website who can look past a label.

As far as TBB goes, its not about the beer so its gotta be about something else

Saw Founders Red's Rye at the Whole Foods on Kirby today. They didn't have a price tag for it yet, but it was a 4 pack so I'll assume the 11.99 going rate for Founders.

ABW Wet Hop now hitting stores. HEB Mueller has it already, and I assume most of the "usual" spots downtown will get it today (I'm looking at you, E1G)
