from founders website - Our brewing team painstakingly choreographed each layer of this beer’s characteristics, starting with a healthy wheat and roasted malt base and adding clean, fragrant hops. It’s one hundred percent barrel-aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels over the course of sixteen months, then blended using carefully calculated ratios for the ultimate final product. The resulting 13% ABV liquid pours a bright warm russet with a stubborn ivory head and an intoxicatingly sweet nutty aroma. We put Sweet Repute in a larger bottle with sharing in mind.

“We’re excited about this one,” said Co-Founder and Vice President of Brand & Education Dave Engbers. “Every sample we’ve pulled from the barrels down in the caves has been incredible.”
Sweet Repute will join the ranks of our world-class barrel-aged beers, such as Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS), Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS), Backwoods Bastard, Curmudgeon’s Better Half and many, many more taproom-only ales.

Sweet Repute will be released in limited quantities across our distribution footprint beginning on Monday, December 2, and will be available at our taproom the same week. This will be ourlast Backstage Series release in 2013, with more releases to come in 2014.

sounds vaguely similar to one of my favorites 09 Nemesis, and according to the facebox it looks like there's no brown paper tickets this time,. so I'll be standing in line in November with you yahoo's.

Doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but I'm glad Founders continues to try new things with their Backstage Series.

UGH, they are using that same ugly bottle again. Why can't they just read these forums and listen to us for once :angry:

I see that, but that's really hard to believe seeing how smooth all their latest releases have been going. I'm actually more of a fan of lining up for a release though. Better chance of getting a ticket when you do the work to get there rather than relying on the click of a mouse.
    Did you say "Facebox"?

I always say facebox, its me trying to be funny and out of touch like a bad norm macdonald set-up. And according to urban dictionary I'm not alone:

facebox - n. a thoroughly better way to say facebook, considering the number of socially inept douches obsessed with it

I didn't read that they ruled out tickets (which would be through Eventbrite, not BPT), I just read that release details were forthcoming:

My dad used to call any stereo a "ghettobox." May have had something to do with what I was listening to though...

a group of us asked on the f'box about tickets and the company answer was "Stay tuned for details on the taproom release. We're going to release it that same week since the week before is the Thanksgiving holiday." If they were gonna use tickets, I think they would have said so but again you are right, nothing it official.

I hope they do the tickets, I far prefer them, myself. I don't necessarily have the time to show up early to stand outside and wait, nor go through the stress of debating on how early to show up, if I'm going to get my bottles, etc. A ticket gives me a guaranteed allotment that I can stroll in the brewery at any point during the specified day and grab my bottles with ease, and I can get a ticket from the comfort of home or convenience of work using those interwebs that the kids are into these days.

Finally, another Backstage release I actually want to try. Hoping to be able to land at least a bottle.
