The wife made the first batch of cupcakes last night - Wynona Big Brown Ale cupcakes - the frost she will make today - it is inspired by zacross (although that, I heard, is being contested) it will be Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frosting

Third batch confirmed - #80pumpkin with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

 

Also, is Wulver still sitting on shelves in Ohio? If anyone from Ohio (or anywhere for that matter) wants to trade a 4-pack of Wulver for a 2013 Gratitude + cash to make up $4$, or something else, BM me and we can work something out.

I just spend $30 on chocolate. (for Old Heathen brownies, not heresy brownies. my bad. but hey.... chocolate bourbon frosting should make up for that lie, right?)

I was inspired to try to make brownies as well. I had some left over #80pumpkin and pumpkin puree so I am going to do pumpkin brownies to go with the wife's cupcakes.

 

Your family is putting me to shame.

 

Just my wife. I am glad she actually wanted to make cupcakes though after having our 2nd daughter two weeks ago. She is a great baker, imo. I suck at baking, but I got ambitious with the brownies because I hate wasting stuff and there was enough things left over to make them!

 

Sorry there is now one less cupcake

First batch of brownies just went into the oven. I feel like they're going to end up labeled

Batch 1: Realizing the recipe doesn't call for salt. Weird
Batch 2: Adding Salt
Batch 3: Adding salt AND chocolate chips.

But the next question is... frosting made with jim beam, or makers? (or both on different batches).

 

The recipe didn't call for salt? Did it call for salted butter instead? Which I think is a terrible idea and you should always use unsalted butter.
