for only being open for about 4-5 months they have quite a few really good brews going.
went last night after a few weeks to try their new Umlaut Bocktoberfest and while it was the most unusual oktoberfest brew I have ever had it was really good - at first I thought I had been given the wrong beer it was so different... was talking to their asst brewer last night and he pretty much said "screw style guidelines". amen!
their Word sour saison (one of the most sour beers I've ever had) is working really well in the fruited variants. can't wait to see what imperial styles they come out over the wintertime, or what they've put into the wine barrels they have, and hope they start doing some bottling soon. they may be producing the best mouthfeels of any localish brewery.

while still very young I think they may become one of, if not the, best brewerys in VA over the next year.

Loved the Word I had at Mekong a few weeks ago. Haven't had anything else up to this point as it is hard for me to get out. Do they have TV's? Planning on going out for tonight's 9ers game.

I was overall disappointed when I went a couple months back, but I would love to give their Sour Saison a try (it apparently wasn't quite ready when we were there).

Mekong is just a damned haul from the house - guess I will catch the game at Extra Billy's then!
