Check out post #80. All three won't make the cut based on distribution. Great beers, but not what I'm focusing on.

The best Double India Pale Ales are from either a. India or b. The Indians (that's where the term "double" comes from). They are certainly the most traditional. So I just don't understand where all of these biases and regional misinformation is coming from.

Yes, this thread is basically "what DIPA can I go buy at the store normally without having a hassle* in the most places nationwide"

Not every beer we drink and appreciate has to be traded for, or leave work early just to get before the small allotment in our area disappears. There is something to be said for readily available beers, and some seem to ignore that.

I'm torn between CANNED Sculpin and Susan

On one hand canned sculpin is easy to come by, world class when fresh, 100% UV blocked and easy to drink in six packs but Susan apparently trades for KH, KtG and CFH when you're willing to expand so...

If the midwest gets to count their DIPAs, can SoCal count their Barleywines?

As long as they're $12/6pk or less, I'm down.

now I am really confused. Since expensive beer from CA is suppose to trade under $4$ because it isn't the fly over state's fault things cost $$$ in CA, does that mean we are comparing to $6/6pk in the rest of the country, or do we (CA) get $20/6pk?

Yeah, I'd vote Resin, followed by Ruination.

Most of my favorite DIPAs are seasonal/one-offs/rotating availability. If we're talking something I can get at least once a year, then it'd be IIPA from New Glarus. Otherwise, Resin stands; it's extremely easy to get, not super expensive, and it's great.

Got to agree with all the Ruination lovers, best double ipa ever in my opinion. Super hoppy columbus/centennial awesomeness

2nd vote for resin. 4/pk is close enough... it moderately priced and super hoppy.

sucks would dethrone it if it came around again  when is it supposed to begin continual release now?

    Another vote for Ruination.

If I were voting for straight up best I would say Enjoy By or Pliny, you pick from the two.

I think a general go to for the overall BA crowd would be Ruination because its a high rated beer that is widely available at a not ridiculous price.

Personally my go to DIPA is Dreadnaught or Artic Panzer Wolf and yes that gets pricey buying by the 750.
