Green Bullet from Green Flash is certainly a new worthy contender (Palate Wrecker too, but not as much IMO). Sucks, however, cannot be beat.

I disagree, I think all Stone beers suck unless it says "Enjoy By" on the label. I never drink that shit and I live in San Diego county.....

People actually drink 4/6 of the same beer in a timeframe where an IPA would still be fresh?

Rated at a 96 and Stone is one of the more accessible craft breweries so I stand my statement. Enjoy By is a better beer but not as easily attainable.

Real talk: when was the last time you had a fresh Stone Ruination? It's a world-class DIPA, there's no way around it.

Hop Stoopid and Maximus are a close second. Love that I can get a bomber of HS in Corntown, IL for less than $4.25 after tax.

There's a best then a compromise. Price? Nah, we're not talking BA Stout prices here.. Availability? It's there if you want it. Distribution? You might have to work a bit, but it's not really all that hard.

In my neck of the woods we have Southern Tier 2XIPA... light malt base, very hop forward, clocks in around 8%, quite delicious for about $10 for a sixer, I get it quite often.

Isn't Ruination now in 4-packs? The Truth in Six Packs. The Truth ain't all that bad and for the extra two bottles it's not a bad deal...providing it's a fresh sixer.

I was so excited for this(Oracle)....got two bottles (that was the max) and was glad that's all I got...just such a sharp bitterness without a lot of true hop flavor...give me hopslam 8 days a week over this...i liked Oracle better a few years back but right now Hopslam all the way.....

This thread is a great reminder to all home brewers how lucky we have it. Even the winners for availability and price in this thread are twice as costly as what we brew.

Their site still lists six packs, but I haven't looked for it in a while so I am not sure.

Ah, my bad. I intercepted all trucks heading east with Sucks last year and drank it all.

I'll throw my vote in for Wachusett Larry. Outstanding DIIPA and runs about $10-11 for a 6-pack of cans. Best value in and around the Boston area in my opinion. I've heard people compare it to Heady, but I'm not ready to go there.
