I'm just upset at the loss of the bottle share, I wonder if it became too much of a liability on their part.

Either that or if they will get drowned in Frat Boys who will bring local shelf turds to the tasting.

While the tour format at the brewery is evolving, there are no plans to quit doing the bottle shares at Karbach.

To date, we've done 2. We leave quite a bit of space in between to allow more people to travel/trade and bring in great beers.

We'll also be doing a Homebrew Bottle Share at the brewery on November 13th that will be announced on social media shortly!

This is great news! I was getting worried there for a second! I'm sure my berliner will be ready by November!

Any idea on when the next GABS will be? I remember David saying every 3 months which is why I was wondering why it had not happened yet.

Homebrew share is both scary and exciting at the same time... lol

Maybe one day I'll start trying so I can participate.

There's always another way to squeeze out a profit increase on the tours: raise prices and decrease value.

Although even those new prices confuse me. The 8 dollar ticket works out to $3.55 per pint, and the $12 ticket works out to $4 per pint. If you bring a glass, it's still $3.67 per pint. It's even more obvious when you compare the prices of a la carte: the value of an $8 ticket is 3x2+3=$9. But the value of a $12 ticket is 2x3+5=$11. So you lose by buying more beer.

    Open mouth, insert foot. :flushed:

    glad to hear.

and a homebrew bottle share sounds awesome. I know a lot of the volunteers that spend time there are homebrewers (myself included)... both my wiezenbock and coffee porter will have been aged just about right for this...

I'm confused by the new format. If you bring your own pint glass can you get the $8 tour (and four fills) for $7? Or do you only get three fills?
