Also, not that it helps now, but these brownies are awesome with a nice stout or bourbon barrel stout. I've made them with Heresy and they'd turned out excellent.

It called for unsalted butter (obvs) and no salt. this has been rectified now.

They also were very wrong about the baking time, which is annoying because I have brunch plans soon. Next time I'll have to use yours- I was going to use deschutes', but man they were ingredient intense in terms of quantity.

 

That's pretty odd. Also, not too surprised about baking time. It can vary so much by oven but I often find I have to bake for an extra five to ten minutes.

Just realize mine is a blondie, baked for a bit, then with the brownie batter poured on top. It's a bit more work intensive but absolutely awesome. That recipe is a bit easier than another I've made which has the brownie on the bottom though.

edit: What recipe are you using? Is it online?

 

I like making blondies too. Plus, melting less chocolate.

I added about 2 more ounces of stout, a little extra sugar (since she used youngs), a tsp of vanilla and 1/4 tsp of salt. I also think that the 8x8 pan is an incorrect call, as they are the thickness of a cake. 9x9 would have been better.

 

I should make this a little more clear... just find me in the bar/tent and let me know you are interested. I'll be the 6'7" dude holding the obnoxiously bright green bracket.

 

How early are people arriving? I'm trying to gauge when to leave buffalo. There are worse things that sitting at a bar drinking beer though if I get there early.

Is anyone planning to be awake/conscious around 4am? Or should I nix bringing some bottles to share?

Is parking there pretty easy/plentiful?

 

Parking is easy, garage next to the brewery. There will be people up and drinking straight through!!

 

That's what time I plan on getting there with a cooler full of beer. We can drink together at least.

 

I don't know if I can drink straight through, but I plan on starting up again in the morning lol

 

Got so messed up last time on Friday night, that I hated even looking at beer the next day.
