This thread makes me feel better about my life.

Even working at a beer store the worst thing I've dropped was a 4 pack of 2011 Leinenkugel Big Eddy imperial stout a year or two back. Not so terrible, but I found the remaining 3 bottles in the breakage area this week and got to bring it home. Kinda excited to see how it aged the last 2 years (albeit in not so ideal conditions)

Good regular beers, yes, Boulevard and Stone come to mind. Have never had a rare or expensive spill thankfully.

On my birthday a month ago my friend went to grab the Mango Magnifico out of the cooler and the entire beer shattered, cut his hand open and was gone. I salvaged about one ounce from the 750ml bottle then we drained the cooler and made a watered down punch with the rest of it (we called it punch). I was devastated until I happened to find another bottle a week later and all was right with the world. But still of all the bottles to shatter, it couldn't have been one of the five bottles of Pumpking there.

I have done the whole bust a ton of shit at DLD. Cliché, I know. The handle of the bottom case of a two box stack broke. Adios 2 Dark Lords, 2 Permanent Funerals, 1 Rabbid Rabbit, and 4 Zombie Dusts. I was mildly bummed to put it lightly.

Damn... I don't feel so bad. Was pretty tipsy last weekend and dropped about a third of a pint glass of Pumking on the concrete patio. I was seriously bummed.

I was putting a case of GD Chocolate Yeti on a rack and I had a bottle explode. I went to put another bottle on and the instant the bottles touched, it went off like a hand grenade. It made an enormously large sweet, sticky mess, and sent shards of glass everywhere. There was a piece of glass about 2 inches long stuck into the wood of the rack. I guess it was over carbonated or something, I've never had a bottle pop like that.

I was in Vegas recently and a BA brought some beers he picked up locally to me. Later that night in line for a cab out behind the casino I tried to open a bottle of Sucaba on a garbage can...bottle cap popped right off! I was so proud until I realized that the cap took the top of the glass bottle with it. Small shards of glass on my hand made me realized had to pitch the bottle...it was a sad loss.

Once shotgunned a Natty Light and half the beer ended up on my shirt and the floor. Did kegstands of all types of beers as a freshman in college and yakked those beers up with little remorse.

Funnel it through a cheese cloth into your mouth and you would have been golden :-)

I never have but once I was sharing a Bell's The Oracle with a buddy and he went in to take a whiff of the aroma and forgot he was wearing a hat and knocked the glass right over. The glass was only half full and the glass did not break but it was disappointing nonetheless

Fortunately have not broken a rare beer(other than a homebrew). I once tripped on a curb while carrying a case of Dogfish 90 minute and instead of dropping or letting go of the beer I went down knuckles first into the sidewalk to save the beer. Not a one broke but I bloodied the hell out of my hands!

Maybe not a great beer, but I spilled half of an Avery Hog Heaven Barleywine. At the time, it seemed like a big deal. I have had a few highly carbonated beers foam up so bad that I lost half the beer....Deus was one of them. Not a great beer but one of the more expensive ones I bought.

Wasn't there for it, but apparently a bartender at a Massachusetts bar was carrying a tray of Zwanze last year and ended up dropping the entire tray... so sad, so incredibly sad.

I spilled BCBS right into the side of my computer tower last winter. Nothing like trying to clean computer parts covered in a 15% abv imperial stout...

Man, if I had the time, I'd tell y'all the story about the big bottle of Chimay Blue and the broken coffee table. It's probably for the best that we don't re-visit this particular situation.

My first Cantillon, 375ml Rose was problematic. I think there was a hairline fracture in the bottle by the cork, so when I tried to uncork it, the neck cracked with shards of glass falling down the side. At first I was going to drain pour it, but then thought why not get a fine strainer and pour the beer through that into my snifter. It actually turned out okay.
