I did some poking around and have not found an answer. I heard this was hitting distribution and I was wondering has/is it going to hit all areas of Stone distro?
I know it's available in Seattle (obviously) and in California, not sure about distribution....kind of odd that a Seattle area bottle shops anniversary beer would become available in stores around the country.
Not so odd considering they sell like hot cakes just for having the word bottleworks on them. Unless bottleworks has a contract that its not to be distributed around the country, I don't find it odd at all.
Is this really true and if so, why? Is Bottleworks really that well known? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I know last year's was a big deal (not to mention Deviation) but I was in there yesterday and they still had some sitting out—and the release was what, a month ago?
Haha maybe I'm naive living in Seattle, but is Bottleworks really well known outside of my city? I see that you live in GA, people know about bottleworks out there?
So Im guessing this won't be heading east? If so, what has it been trading for/what do you think would be fair trade value for it? Thanks!
They've pretty much all been a big deal. Beers made for them have been rated really well and have become increasingly hard to land in trades. Isn't there a new belgium Bottleworks thats a whale too? I knew about the beers before I caught on that they all said Bottleworks because it was a store in Washington with a great reputation that they were made for. I'd say by now its close to how well known Toronado is but I may be wrong. There might still be some people out there that haven't caught on to that the Bottleworks beers were made for a store with that name but they certainly know the beers that say Bottleworks on them are very good.
Yes, that's Bottleworks X. Generally, I agree that any Bottleworks branded beer has been good. The IX (RR Deviation) and the X are the most popular of the bunch. Stone was a disappointing choice for XIII. Fortunately, Cascade is doing next year's release, so that will soon be forgotten.

This distribution looks just like how they distribute the Collaborations, which, of course, excludes Louisiana and half the states Stone's in. They posted a video about the release, and when I commented on the video asking about distribution, they said it was: a curiously strong libation, limiting to some degree, the possible reach of this glorious beer. Louisiana has no ABV limits whatsoever, so I'm still just as curious as to why it only reaches a limited number of their markets.
