Enjoyed a couple cans of Heady Topper at Teresa's (yes....Heady in Philly burbs!) while doing an IP trade (King Henry for Southampton Black Raspberry Lambic). Now I'm enjoying a few other tasty treats...starting with a Pliny the Elder.

Tell that to all the folks pissed about how much FW and GI we get. Bear in mind we are the suburbs of manhattan.

Started with a BR Red Rocket Ale with lasagna. Now onto Consecration, my first RR sour! I've had Stone Double Bastard, but no other sours, and this is unlike any other beer I've ever had...I think I like it.

By the way, had my first Alesmith Speedway Stout last night, and I was disappointed. Looked great, smelled great, even a good taste, but the thinness on the end made it pale next to Wake n Bake and KBS, which I've been enjoying lately.

It could be worse. You could live in Manhattan and its costs more and go to LI on weekends. Like me.

More NHL game 7's and some Battlefield 3. I was getting owned in the game so I decided to do a beer review and watch some more hockey. Hopefully the Panthers can make this game interesting.

Poured a Bigfoot into the CBS snifter my lovely wife bought for me and listening to some black keys. Sorry no vid, I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna hassle with it. It was 'same old thing' of attack and release though. Cheers all!!

Did the manhattan thing for 7 yrs. nice to move out to the burbs and start a family. Also got a job on LI. Every time the wife and I head into the city we laugh about how much we don't miss it....except of course the great craft bars and no need to drive.

Started off with a Hoptologist DIPA from Knee Deep Brewing (pretty tasty!) thanks to Kurtis. Now working on a Maduro Brown from CCB. Final day of training at home before the madness of this weekend...

So good. Probably the most underrated CCB beer, it's fantastic and dirt-cheap (7.49 for a four-pack? Yes please), and is absolutely delicious.

Heck of a Saturday. Next time you are up try a place on 321 called Foggy Rock. 15 taps, mostly NC. Last weekend i went there and had Olde Hickory Irish Walker, Hoptimum, Seven Devils all on draft. Food specials are good too!
