Another one! OC is getting pretty crowded, I think the days of hitting all the breweries in one day have ended.

Looking forward to trying them though!

Nice. They will be very close to Bootlegger's and Valiant. I hope they make it big.

Based on the types of beer this articles mentions, it won't be that great. In Southern California's highly competitive market, an Imperial ESB and a Czech Pilsner isn't going to cut it. On top of that, your Double IPA better be mind-blowing compared to what's out there.

I think this brewery might do well for people who casually enjoy beer or dabble in craft beer, but major hoarderz and neckbeards most likely won't be going there.

I for one would love Czech pilsners and esb options when in OC visiting family. If they can make them well then I would be a frequent visitor. There are plenty of hop monster beers and barrel aged options out there. I'm not bashing those styles but clean simple beers made very well is what every beer scene or area needs.

In most cases major hoarders and beer geeks don't pay the bills.

I agree with radium. Unless you're Moonlight and making Reality Czech Pilsner, there are just too many fun, interesting, progressive beers out there to settle on boring beer.

Also, if The Bruery is any indication, "major hoarders and beer geeks" do pay the bills.

To my knowledge they've only been pouring at a handful of local festivals.

Article is a bit outdated, the new anticipated opening is in November.

In the list of breweries I can cab to for less than twenty dollars, none regularly have a DIPA that I actually enjoy (humulus doesnt count) so I look forward to giving theirs a shot.

The PET growler idea is interesting, though I hope they're making plans to fill non-branded growlers.

I would like that as well. Bottle Logic is about half way between my house and the Bruery. If Noble kept Nobility on more regularly I'd be happy. Or if Jericho was better.

We should grab a beer sometime. I'm about a 20 minute walk north of noble.

I agree... not many options 'round here for good IPA's. I really liked Bootlegger's Far Out, but don't think they brew that one often. Taps IPA is pretty decent, but I suppose that would bring you over the $20 mark from your location.

    Wish Beachwood was closer.

We should. I'm just East of Noble, a 5 minute walk from Valiant.
Me too. Fortunately I have a friend in Long Beach so $10 cab rides from his place occur often. Beachwood makes the best IPA's in LA/OC, and their other styles are pretty great as well.

Far out and lupulin thrill were both solid, but at this point bootleggers is barely a step above Anaheim and old orange brewing company in my book. Love me some TAPS, and the Catch is super close and owned by them.

    Hey All,

Just wanted to give a quick update. That article is a bit outdated and inaccurate. The tentative plan is to open in late November. Some of the styles we plan to open with are: Double IPA, Pale Wheat Ale, Nitro Milk Stout, Saison, Czech Pilsner, Seasonal Fruit Ale, Brown Porter, and a few others. Our pilot system will allow us to release something new and interesting every week, so we will definitely keep it fresh. Anything in particular that you guys would like to see?

    Thanks for your support,
    Cheers!

Thanks for taking the time to clear things up.

More than any style, I would LOVE to see your brewery differentiate itself by filling non-branded growlers.

Do you have any plans to do so?

Sounds like a great line up to start out with. I'm excited to try your beers. I like the idea of you guys experimenting with small pilot batches.
