The Pig gets the axe

Yeah, everything. I grabbed about 5 Citrus Ninjas and am kinda wishing I'd gotten more. Grabbed a bunch of other stuff, too.

 

Looks like a successful pig pickin'!

 

Northbridge Pig still has some decent stuff. 25% off makes stuff I normally pass over a bit more appealing.
Picked up a 6 of Sculpin (enjoy by 10/27), 2 6ers of Special Double Cream Stout (left 1 on the shelf), and a 6 of AV Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. They put a closed sign on the growler station while I was there. I think they were just too busy to fill growlers. Still had some good stuff on the shelves, though.

 

Is there a discount at the Northbridge Pig as well?

I was in Charleston yesterday and I stopped by the James Island Pig on Folly Rd, knowing that they were probably wiped out and I wasn't aware that other Pigs had discounted items too, but I did manage to get a four pack of Rübæus and a bottle of Riserva. Both are beers I probably wouldn't have bought at full price, but both for $16 was a great deal.

 

Honestly, it was depressing. There wasn't much but I recall seeing a few Rochefort 6, Pluff Mud Porter, Green Flash Saison Diego, and some lambics. I didn't bother checking the growler station because I went by the store in the morning and I was spending the day downtown before I went back to MB so I didn't want to let any growlers sit in my car all day long. I was depressed thinking about the stuff I could haven't gotten if I was there the day the sale began. I would have ran up quite a charge on the credit card.

 

Went in the folly one yesterday, not too bad (no decent beef or produce left).. beer wise, it's never been great. Not like the maybank pig when I went in on wed. looked like freaking locusts had descended.

 

Although the Pig on Edisto Island had a terrible beer selection, it has become an iconic location and is loved by residents and tourists. It's sad to see it go ... I knew I should have gotten an "I'm Big on the Pig" shirt over the summer.

 

Hit 'em up Saturday evening (I can't believe I didn't go on Friday!) and picked up 1ea of Oatmeal Yeti, Sublimely Self-Righteous, and a TC Bitter Monk.

Hella good deals!

Just stopped by about 30 minutes ago and they had plenty of bottles left, but I didn't see any Westbrook.

 

They still have a bunch of stuff. Plenty of Holy City Pluff Mud Porter and Bells Offerings. Over in the cooler they had a few imports as well. Word on the skreets is that they will go 50% off on Monday.

 

The isle of palms pig should start their beer sale tomorrow, Friday at the latest. Ask for Thomas. Tell him some Advintage hippie sent you.

 

$5 growlers again Friday and Saturday 11-7. They brought some of the kegs from JI so the selection is pretty good! Don't forget that it's 25% off everything, so the growler is less than 4 bucks!!! 64oz only. And they have no caps, so make sure you have one. Happy Hunting!
