Yeah Ardmore had Well Read when I was there for CTA. I'm skeptical of a year-old berliner myself. The Flower Child I opened with about 5 months on it had 'spores' throughout the entire pore, and I made sure to not aggravate the sediment when moving it my counter top to open.

On the subject of that tourney though, how in the hell did Lakefront lose to Tallgrass?!

Fruited, low ABV, unfiltered/unpasteurized pale? I wouldn't call that an aging candidate...

I'm pretty sure there was an earlier batch as well. This may have been the first Berlinner Weisse Pipeworks bottled if I remember correctly

There definitely was an earlier batch. I believe Blue Lady was the first bottled.

If only there were one thread where all this information about what has been released from Pipeworks was available for us to search...alas, it is not to be.

Well Read gave me the shits, like violently. But it was still delicious.

Ok, I finished updating the "Beer" section of the site, so you can see all the ingredients used in the brews. Note we occasionally make hop/malt substitutions over time or when our contracts run out. For example we recently stopped using Marris Otter in our stouts instead we are using 2-row, which has a higher protein content. The end goal is of course to give you guys the thick creamy stout we know you love.

Regarding Well read, there was a previous batch before the one listed here, just haven't backlogged the batch numbers on the site that far yet. And the cheesy blue was the first berlinner release.

Also, we feel this batch of Orange Truffle is more orangey than the previous batch, not overly so, but definitely more prominent. Definitely closer to what the name implies.

Other new fun stuff we are playing around with for near future release... Nelson Sauvin imperial brown ale, blueberry quad, white russian milk "stout", big ass oatmeal stout, collaboration with 4 hands

    Cheers

based on BeeJay's comment and looking at untappd, beer was created on 10/18/2012 so guessing it was first released around this time which jives with nachos' comment. not sure about batch number but apparently lower than #83.
