    Sweet Basil is BYO, but depending on the day/time it can be dicey to get a table as they don't take reservations.

    can we do like a VFW hall or something? i know we'd have to throw down a few bucks, but might be worth it.

    Jesus, I'm in the same boat on Washington St haha...

    I've been wondering if there were other bottle share groups nearby for a while since the other thread slowly died, count me in. It'd have to be after 11/7th or so for me as I cannot drink before then.

    I and a few of my buddies would be very interested. My house in Charlestown might be a possibility to host occasionally, it has an outdoor deck can hold a few dozen people. Would prefer a central location but definitely mobile if this gets moving. Don't know of any BYOB places that would be somewhat central and convenient for all. Got lots of bourbon barrel aged stuff I've been saving for fall/winter :slight_smile:

    Actually, it's illegal within Boston city limits with or without a license (city ordinance). Outside of Boston it's legal if you have no license.

    Not to got further down the rabbit hole, but it's actually town by town in Mass. Some towns formally allow it (Wellesley, Needham, Woburn, Framingham), some ignore it, and some prohibit it. It's definitely illegal in Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge, although I've known restaruants look the other way. And of course it's illegal for anyone with a liquor license.

    I used to do a wine tasting group at various BYOB places, mostly in the western suburbs. Il Forno is one of the best inexpensive options but folks will have to drive.

    Spreadsheet/FB group linked on the spreadsheet sounds good. Probably good to keep a thread here going as well for exposure to new participants.

    We didn't end up making it to the pizza beer put damn between GFK and Ghost Scorpion those beers were not good to me...
