New beers during GABF

right. and people were commenting on them holding it back, but ive purchased 2 there since then, right off the shelf, didnt even have to ask anyone either time. i dont even chase pliny but if i walk in somewhere and its on the shelf for the taking, i'll buy it every time.

 

Is osiris the only sun king beer that's showing up on shelves out there or am I not looking hard enough?

 

I guess you got lucky then, and whoever said they were holding it back was lying. I've been to Argonaut twice since last Friday and never saw it on the shelves, and didn't think to ask.

 

I was there last Friday when they got it and was told by an employee they were holding it back for GABF week

 

Yeah there hasn't been a spot for it on the shelves, maybe an employee who didn't know better opened a case and gave him bottles?

 

I've got their Sunlight Cream ale and their Wee Mac Scottish ale as well.

 

There's usually a spot for it, along with that goofy sign saying "looking for Pliny?".

I hate asking anyone there for it, because it's usually impossible to get any help and they're usually clueless.

yeah, not sure, maybe they put one case out on monday and i got lucky monday and tuesday, who knows? def on the shelf monday and tuesday mornings this week, though.

 

We have a place up here that is holding back half or most of it for GABF week, go fuckin figure! I'm a regular there and no luck, keep it for the out of town people and to build hype. Makes no sense, you have great beer, from out of state that isn't normally distributed here 'release it' to the locals!!

Cornerstar and Lukas had all 3 Sun King brews as of Thursday evening.

 

They got Prairie, Local option, Evil twin, stillwater, etc? If yes, I know where I'm stopping on my way home from work.

 

Anyone know if Chambers is getting any of the goods? So hard keeping up with all these releases
