For me, not really (at least not with this beer). My wife hates any beer with any hop presence. My relatives & friends don't like hoppy beers, either. Not everyone has a bunch of people they can readily drink good beer with.

    >Cue the obligatory BA comment of "well then you need to get new friends."

Well then you need to.... oh wait.

Yeah, you would think that everyone on BA drinks by themselves all the time with the complaining about these large format bottles. Beer is more fun when you share. A 32 oz. bottle is one pint for me and a pint for someone else.

For some that do drink alone, maybe drinking more would make being alone even better...

...just make sure you don't slip yourself a roofie or something.

Earlier this year, there was plenty of "complainers" regarding the lack of Sucks availability. Maybe no one was drinking it in northern VA and you were the lucky one with plentiful availability. But that was not the case in most areas.
And if you look at the general postings, people are complaining that they dont like the 32oz format.

They just never sit right. I haven't found them to have a bad seal or anything, but they take a bit more force than longnecks, and that makes me nervous.

Going off some shit the brewery was saying back in July, once things were in order, Daytime and Sucks would hit test markets before being released year round upon Chicago's opening. Here in CA, Daytime was to be tested in San Diego area and Sucks in the Bay Area.

I just had fresh Daytime in San Diego over the weekend...

back in the bay and waiting....

Still trying to figure out what exactly they're testing. "Will this delicious, hoppy pale ale sell in a city well known for it love of hops?" ...yes?

I'm not complaining though. I've been taking full advantage of DayTime being around.

Just curious what you use for a capper. I have the big orange capper with handles on each side to manually cap my bottles and have no issues capping lagunitas bottles.

So anyone see one in the wild yet? I'd love to see a picture of this guy next to a Schlitz.

It has said that for a long time. And it was released in DEC. last year so I assumed the same. Until they mentioned it would be set back to OCT., and jut didn't change the site. ...But I haven't heard anything else about it out in OCT. again. I'm thinking late NOV. to early DEC. now.

Worth noting, the site says Dec '12 - Jan '13. Definitely dated info and shouldn't serve as any indicator for this year's release.

I actually had some face time with Tony couple weeks back, hes plans to have Chicago running by December. (and actually is considering using 40s as well as the 32s) I would expect we will see Sucks post Chicago opening

I did consider Lagunitas Sucks the poor mans Surly Abrasive (the similarities are amazing). At the new 32oz price, it will cost almost the same per ounce as Abrasive. Abrasive is local and comes in 16oz cans, Abrasive wins. I see these 32oz bottles as shelf turds after a couple of months in many areas.

    Dear Lagunitas,

The folks in MN apparently aren't interested in Sucks this year. So there's one less market to worry about getting this fine product out to. It's probably better to have plenty of it here on our shelves than any on there's.

    Thanks,
    California
