Picked up a six pack but none of the months on the bottle are notched. Any idea when this was bottled? Case box not around either.

Would like to know also, heading to Rochester in a few weeks, hoping for some fresh ones!

Is there a way to find out dates for FP without the case? I tend to shy away if I can't find a case.

Yes, the label has each month on it, they notch the month that is the enjoy by month. It is 3 months out from bottling.

I don't have any in the house right now to check, but are there any other stamps or numbers on the bottle itself? There could be a production code that Ithaca knows how to decipher, and they might be able to help you out if you ask them. Post back if you find out.

    Nope, nothing I can see.

One day in a far away fairy land brewers will put clear, easy to read dates on bottles.

If every brewery followed Firestone Walkers lead we would all be happy.

Bottled on date printed CLEARLY on the LABEL. Now that's how you do it.

I don't know how often they bottle FP but I recently saw some hit the shelves of my local store. If it's the same batch (which I would imagine is a long shot) mine are best by December (so bottled in Sept.).

Good luck man, fresh Flower Power is kick ass!

Does Flower Power still taste different to anyone else?

the case i bought last week has a different taste to it and also has a lot of sediment which i haven't noticed in any other batches i have bought. Must be a bad batch. Love this beer

Fresh FP is a mind blower, wouldn't pay for a 3 month old stuff.

    They recently tweaked the formula.
I thought the best by was 6 months out but I could be wrong.
I have recently noticed a lot of bottles where the notch is just barely there. Check each bottle in the six pack. Do any of them a little notch?

Enjoy by date is not nearly the same thing as a bottling date.

Some breweries consider 6 month old IPAs good to go. Looking at you Heavy Seas.

While I prefer a bottled on date, I will take a best by date over nothing at all [Looking at you Captain Lawrence]

I would love to drink some FW Wookey Jack and Double Jack but everything I see on the shelf is 6 months old or more. Earlier today I actually saw a Wookey Jack today with a Dec 2012 bottled on date.

That must be new. Where is it? I have seen it on the box but never the bottle.

    Where in NJ are you?

Bottle Neck. I believe they were dated 8/25.

Essex/Morris county border. Saw both at BK Livingston today.

I will be in Newark next week so maybe I will take 280 out to Livingston.

I just bought some. I will have to take a look at the neck. Captain's reserve is a Top Notch DIPA
