I thought the draught batch 2 had a stronger raspberry taste, maybe b/c it was younger?

 

Awesome! I was afraid it was going to end the same way as when I tried to get some VM at the Atrial release...sold out just before I was able to snag any.

 

Having tasted both, both are excellent, but I thought Batch 2 (on tap) was noticably better (more raspberry flavor).

 

Yes, and I may be one of them. Why not? I can almost guarantee if the limit is set at 12 (for the bottles) there will be people who get shut out. I would do what I know other people will do, get as many as possible and "hook up my Dallas bros" who didn't get tickets.

Hopefully the limit is set lower or place a limit of 4 per day if that's possible. Gives everyone a fair chance. Even then I would bet it sells out the first day.

I like even numbers. It also just so happened that Jeff posted the limit would be 12 tickets per person a few posts later.

 

Yeah Jeff, it seems like there's a lot of confusion regarding the 12 tix.

Obviously we can buy for others at the same time. But is there a mechanism to ensure those others are real people who are present on site? That is, will we provide names like we did for the AR release?

I had to provide names for the 2 anniversary tickets I purchased early this year. However, I don't remember if Brown Paper Tickets handled tickets for the anniversary party.

 

So no way to do a DD + bottles?

 

I actually haven't done a side by side, which I should do. Generally speaking, the fruit character should become less prominent with time, so batch 2 might have a little more raspberry character since it's about three months old. Batch 1 is now seven months old.

 

With the limited number of bottles, that seems like it would be a logistical nightmare in terms of the allocation of tickets.

Why... just don't hand out the tickets. Seems pretty simple.

My DD would like bottles for home while being responsible at the same time. Seems odd to punish them.

I can see limiting the DD + Bottles to one per order though. lol

 

Thanks for raising this issue. You can buy for others. However, you need to provide a name for each ticket holder. We'll then match the name assigned to the ticket with a photo ID at the gate. I'm actually going to put that on our website now. Thanks again.

 

But I would assume they need to have a set number of tickets that include bottles to sell. If they are only selling 400 bottles of each, how many DD+Bottles tickets do they allocate? 100, leaving just 300 full-price tickets? 50?

 

Sell bottles separately with the caveat that you have to buy entrance to the event. That way you can buy DD or Regular and then add bottles if desired.
