Ugliest beers

The fantome hiver I had was pretty ugly, but as far as pictures go I think the prize goes to doggy claws.

More Moro from Funky Buddha. It takes the already ugly looking Hop Gun and clouds it up with blood oranges. Tasted all right though.

 

I sincerely hope you don't know that from experience (i.e., I hope you haven't tasted piss in a mud puddle).

 

Heady, they don't dump much trub or fine their beer. For making 1 freaking beer you'd think they'd take the time to fine it to present it properly. But hey, if you want to can every last drop and don't care...do it.

 

But remember that Seance is only half Saison. The other half is stout. Seance is a hybrid Saison-Stout. Hence, the brown coloring.

 

I'm quite fond of many cloudy, chunky beers because they tend to be some of my favorites when it comes to flavor. But they can definitely make you furl a brow until you get used to it.

 

How'd it taste?

 

Looks like it would be great. JW Lees makes some awesome ales. And Lagavulin is a great Scotch. I can't imagine that wouldn't be good.

Yep, me neither with that combination. I imagine it's a fantastic beer despite it's appearance, which prompted me to ask.

 

Ditto. I hope we get to see some of that on this side of the pond.

 

noooo.... someone couldn't have made such a beast. I love coconut. I love curry. I adore beer. I would do just about anything to avoid sipping such a vial concoction. Reminds me of the time I was at the Indian grocery store and got tempted by cumin cola
And yeah, it's even worse than you're imagining.

 

Well, it was pretty damn good. I'm a Lagavulin man, whisky-wise, so this was a no-brainer for me; but I think anyone'd dig the Scotch influence on the beer.

There is a reason why you are supposed to drink Heady Topper from a can...

 

I've traded for heady 3 times and have yet to get floaties?? I personally find the beer super sexy. When I see a hazy, unfiltered ipa with fluffy, sticky head I gives me the oh....oh....oh face.

It's hard to find any beer ugly unless its yellow, super clear and overly bubbly with minimal head.

 

Vortex IPA from Fort George Brewing. Fantastic beer but talk about floating chunks!
