He's always hooked me up on trades. I can't speak for the mystery box. If he makes it I don't think you will be disappointed.

I could pick up 6 of those 10 beers any day of the week in Central Indy.

To be fair the sour box is only $180, but I still think you are right.

Keep in mind part of it is the convenience factor. Spend a couple of bucks and beer shows up at your door.

Still itching for that Sours box so definitely interested in the outcome. Agreed on the IG'd box that shipped, half of them I can get with relative ease...but a few looked pretty rad all the same...half the fun is the grab bag surprise?

Well after going through the site and rougly filling a case of "big bottles" I could easily do $200 in damage for BA beers there, yea some a bit higher priced than if I saw them in stores but ones I picked I can't find in stores here, or can't anymore (boo shelton brothers leaving, although WI isn't far away, I'm lazy).

Edit: I didn't order it, I was curious, I will keep this site bookmarked though.

Im in Pittsburgh which is very close to Ohio, shipped to my buddy's place in OH like an hour away. Little bit of effort but they have some great stuff I can't get so I wanted to give it a try.

BA's don't have friends, we have "trading partners" and "tasting circles."

Got the box. Apparently "mystery" = "screw you out of money"

Here are the contents, and their retail prices.

    Epic Big Bad Baptist $14
    Bruery Tart of Darkness $20
    Bruery BA Boise $27
    Firestone Double DBA $15
    Coney Island BA Blockhead $10
Indian Wells Whiskey Barrel Amber $12
Uinta Cockeyed Cooper Barley Wine $13
    Almanac Barrel Noir $9
Clown Shoes Very Angry Beast $15
    Ovila Quad $6
Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout $10
    Shipyard Double Scottish Ale $15

    Total if bought separately: $166

To charge $199 for $166 in beer is bad business. Add the $40 shipping and I'm insulted as well as injured.

Seriously, craftbeerkings? What were you thinking? You could have at least thrown something hard to find in there, like a Velvet Merkin, or Uncle Jacobs. Or something with a value more than $20, like BA Rasputin, or Heritage 2011.

Instead, you dumped your shelf turds on me. :slight_frown:

Shame on you. Especially since this is what your email promised:

For those who don't know we do mystery boxes. These boxes are really fun to do and they do include some delightful treats. So Far we have about 4 of these. They are doing really great! recently we added the barrel aged mystery box. And let me tell you.. you will get your money plus more.

This is a big plateful of fail, with a heaping side of poor customer service.

I contacted them, expressing my disappointment. I'm hoping it was just a mistake. They seem like they really know and love beer, and I've had excellent customer service from them in the past.

Fingers crossed that they make good on this.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwww. Maybe they're figuring that the Uber-Whale markup on Ba Bois is the extra $33? I would be piiiiisssssseeeedddddddddddddddd.
