    Had some at the Oktoberfest celebration at Southern Star this Saturday. It tasted infinitely better than the bottled version. I have high hopes for the cans now.

    Anyone have a spare can of this or know where I can scoop a four pack up? Sending out a trade tomorrow and really want to put 1 in there as an extra. My 2 Specs on the Clear Lake side haven't received any yet.

    Picked up a four pack yesterday from there. Tried 1 before I threw 1 in my trade. Tasted great to me, its been awhile since ProAm but Id say its the same. I never tried the bottles since they were way overpriced and all the negative feedback.

    Yay, Pro-Am 2012! The second batch of Valkyrie, the one in cans, is good! My palette was wrecked by the bitterness in this. :slight_smile: Glad they got it right, finally.

    Picked up a 4 pack at HEB in Bryan today for $9.36. Hate to say this, but I am disappointed. The extreme lingering bitterness is not something I remember with Pro-Am '12. It's been a year since I enjoyed that one, and all I can say is my taste buds made me buy at least 10 sixers of PA '12. They are telling me not to buy anymore Valkyrie in cans. Curious to see what others have to say in future reviews.

    I agree with you on the bitterness in the finish. My biggest complaint isn't the bitterness itself, it's that the bitterness has no distinct characteristic. It's just painfully bitter and boring.

    Bought my second 4pk today. Love the shit out of this beer. I'll reiterate, I don't recall the pro-am12 specific characteristics, but only that I really enjoyed it. The Valkerie bottles were terrible. These Valkerie cans are damn tasty. Extremely hoppy and piney. I have zero complaints about the new cans. I also made it a point to not read, or hear any reviews on the cans prior to tasting myself.

    Well shit, I just bought a 4 pack. I'm gonna try one in a bit. The mixed reviews is troubling because of how much I hated the bottled version

    Bought a four pack.

    It's not terrible (drain pour? Really?)

    But...it's all bitter. Little hops, little aroma.

    Back to quietly witnessing craft beer hysteria/idiocracy.

    Seriously....whoever doesn't like their Valkyrie (cans) and is thinking of drain pouring, please BM me...I'll take them off your hands in a flash!

    I'd love to drain pour it, but I've still yet to find a drop in Austin ;_;

    It's not a drain pour IMO but I'm not going to buy anymore. It's still not the same as ProAm unfortunately.l

    It took plenty of time to get to HEB and Specs so I'm sure it will make its way up there soon enough.
