I know this topic has come up previously (BA Mod edit: here & here for example) but I haven't seen it in a while and things seemed to have changed for the better at airports as they have at bars and restaurants. Previously, I would have said the Philly airport was the best but my dinner in Minneapolis-St. Paul last night I don't think could have been beat.

I ate at Mimosa (in Concourse G) in the MSP airport last night and had a Bell's Two Hearted and a Surly Furious while I sat and read --- then had a Rodenbach Grand Cru with my bacon cheeseburger. Those beers are hard to beat in a restaurant, let alone an airport. I could have had a Summit Oatmeal Stout if I had wanted dessert.

    Other opinions?

MSP does have some fine spots, but my travels would suggest PDX and SLC are superior.

I've had decent success at Denver, Chicago, and Portland - but specifics don't come to mind right now. Next time I'm passing through M-SP, i may have to check that place out, though - sounds like a decent selection

I think you'd have a tough time matching the options at PDX. Seriously, how many airports have bottle shops in them?

MSP is not to bad either, that' a great stop in general, I was a little disappointed with Denver for beer selection but I hate that airport anyway...

I haven't yet had the chance to visit but I know that CCB has a small brewpub inside of TPA. Any opinions or insight on that on?

Not nearly enough. This would solve the whole "having to check a suitcase full of beer just so TSA can get their grubby mitts all over it" conundrum.

MSP: Ikes on Summit (around F7) has 7 Summit beers on tap. They'll also squeeze oranges right in front of you if you order a screwdriver.

Having not flown using many airports, the best by far has been MSP. Upset when I get a delay coming home (always, LGA you terrible airport), but that quickly goes away as now I can drink on the company dime.

Yes, that's my big question - when are they going to open up bottle shops so I don't have to limit my local purchases to a case of cans stuffed into my suitcase registering 49.95 pounds...? Answer - never - because American Airlines doesn't want to weigh down their planes with cases of bombers to take home...

You could also ask "How many airports have multiple places where you can get a growler filled?"

Have not been there, but Tampa's airport has its own Cigar City Brewpub in it. They apparently brew on site.

Yeah it's been there for I want to say less than a year. From what I have read is it is the first airport to have a functioning brewery inside They kind of do the same thing as the new brew pub and offer one off brews that you can only get in the airport location.

I figured that was slightly more common, but PDX is the only airport I've been to with a "post security" bottle shop that stocks 250+ local beers, so I focused on that. That said, PDX is also the only airport I'm aware of that has a "market rate" ordinance enacted on it, which forces all the bars and stores to charge the same price for their goods as they do at locations outside the airport.

$5 pints of Workhorse? Yes, please.

They also sell six packs of their core beers, warm so you don't pop them on your flight. They're located in Terminal C where Southwest and AirTran are.

Why buy a $5 pint when you can now get 72oz (in convenient bottles) for ~$8?
