And what nerve would that be? You're giving yourself credit where a slap would suffice

Obviously the one that made you say that I need a slap. It's all good to have an opinion about a beer, and we get it, you don't think it's an IPA. Doesn't change the fact that it is.

Was the underlined part aimed towards me? Because after that line, it says:
That certainly would be a pretty close description in terms of hoppiness and all malt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that line says that a description of an IPA describes that beer.

Edit: He said that he did not think of an IPA when he brewed it. So in his mind, he was brewing an ale that was extreme for those days. Could it have been that he brewed it without a style in mind whatsoever, and it just so happened to end up as an IPA? That's never happened, ever, right?

For me it's St. Bernardus Xmas. I used to be able to get it year round till everyone discovered it last year and the entire stock in DFW went dry. I have one bottle left and waiting for this years cases to be released.

Definitely Jai Alai. I can always count on it to be on the shelf and fresh, but find myself only picking up a six pack about once a month. One of my favorites though, just too many good beers to be had.

I love ranger. It shows that you don't have to pay a lot for really good ipa.

I live in northern new jersey...not much spectacular stuff we can get that the rest of the country can't.
FFF,RR,Bell's,CCB,HF...pretty much just a fantasy over here for me.
I guess what I do take for granted is getting founders brews shipped here on the regular....some states don't get to enjoy their heavenly extensive selection much.

Not really, stores can't seem to hold on to it even when they sell them (illegally) at 5 or even 6 bucks a bottle! I've seen this first hand, couldnt believe the nerve. Sure enough they were all spoken for within a week.

For OUR area I say Anti-Hero. It falls off very fast, but if you drink it within 2 weeks of canning, this stuff is pure awesome sauce. There are days I'd take one over Zombie Dust even.

Sierra Nevada across the board. They make quality beers at an attractive price point.

    The Unibroue stuff definitely.

All of it is readily available at a steal most times ($5.50 for Terrible 750 ml for example), but for some reason it just gets pushed to the side.

So true, I suck at writing. Still I love my beer, and I am thankful I can still get some of it at a price this retired old man on a fixed income can enjoy.:grinning: So cheers and hears to hoping I get my check next month. :grimacing:

Considering the amount of Edmund Fitz I consume a year, I have grown to take it for granted a tad. I cook with it, and average two or so pints a night from kegerator. However, considering all my beer is bought and paid for via my elbow grease...it's earned and thus I feel I don't take it for granted to much
