Beers going to post for this soon? Or will it remain a mystery?

I hope they post soon. This would drastically change my GABF tasting plans tonight depending on what they're pouring at WTF.

Does anybody have any details regarding this event other than the breweries attending? Specifically wondering what's going to be poured plus what the food offerings will look like (i.e. should I eat beforehand).

According to their site it's being catered so I would assume it's more of a hybrid beer festival / beer diner?

Well, since this isn't showing up elsewhere here are a couple I found:
From Bells website: Le Bretteur and Bourbon Barrel Aged Brett Stout
From Gravity Brewlabs twitter: Midnight Brambler and Daft Funk

Pentagram was also poured at the Brewer's Reception at Wynkoop on Wednesday night.

From Side Project Brewing's Twitter: There are only a couple Saison du Fermier kegs left in existence and I'm pouring one tonight at #WhatTheFunk

I went to this tonight, but my buddies and I were a bit disappointed. I actually had a better time at GABF despite the rarity of beer served at this event. Three main issues:

    1) the food needs alot of improvement. Meatballs on a stick at a sour/big beer event doesn't cut it. No carbs were served at all.
    2) admission took way too long. I wasn't in the event until 630pm...my buddies later than that.
    3) too many people in too small of a place with horrible acoustics. It was too small of a venue and way louder than I
expected. There was no place on the main floor to really chill. I'd either reduce ticket sales by 100-200 people or find a bigger venue.

I did have a good time, but nothing close to the $90 price tag.

Cons: Check-in needed reviewing. Too many cross paths going on. Mobile ticket/app/phone thing...not for me. I thought it was an event for breweries who couldn't/didn't make the GABF list; this was incorrect. While food (meatballs) were great, the crab cakes were a disaster (i.e. fish smell and beer tasting don't mix)

Pros: great beers. Some were not there, others brought surprises. Nice venue, albeit a bit small. Love the old-style ambiance (that's French for...I don't know what). Location was nice. 2 blocks from 16th Mall ride. Perhaps a bit pricey, but well done for the short notice.

It was also a mixed bag for me.

Venue: Very cool location, enjoyed that you could go upstairs for a bit to eat and get out of the madness. I only wish there were either fewer people or wished they would have utilized more of the building so it wouldn't seem as busy.

Beer: Awesome beer selection. It's actually the best festival I've been to from that standpoint. Although I wish some breweries would have stepped up their game ( ie the bruery - no CR?)

Food: I did enjoy most of the meatballs however it was a lot of meat. If they made them into sliders with some bread it would have been nicer. I also really enjoyed the cheese but that didn't last long at all (maybe just the first hour?)

Overall: For the first run of this festival I thought it was pretty good. Obviously some things could be improved but you might not know until you do one.

I agree with everything posted. They needed a bigger venue or less people at the event. And better food. And quicker check in.

Beer was awesome. No question about it. I will post a picture I took on my cell to show how crowded it was.

Definitely was crowded...but I don't know any other festival in the world that for $80 you had your pick of some of the rarest, most delicious beers in the world. The J. Wakefield and Side Project beers alone were worth the price. All you can drink Cali Brandy Huna?! Jolly Pumpkin Biere de Mars - Grand Reserve. The Cascade selections. And on and on...and we're complaining about meatballs.

The festival was a hit in my books. Having been at Rare early that afternoon which was $20 more expensive. This was a grand slam.

    Just my $0.01.

Right!? I loved it! Even though it was crowded, I waited in a almost NO lines, the longest being like 5 minutes. Got multiple pours of all of my favorites, easily drank a full bottle of some crazy stuff.

    I'll be back!

Even got my gueuze fix with A/C Golden..well done troy.
