The beer that is. Its a German beer that I found a couple weeks back. Was just wondering if any one out there has tried it and has any thoughts on importing it?

So you have to wonder where the OP (member since today, one and only post) actually found this beer a couple weeks back... at the brewery?

To me, without even trying it, it has BMC taste written all over it. Very gimmicky like Kid Rock's...

Looks to me like someone is promoting either their beer or beer for a friend.

Well, Germany...you got what you asked for. It's not your Opa's boring old Kellerbier anymore!

From the same brewery that makes Waldhaus Pils, which Victory Prima Pils is in part based on.

This is more than likely from Karlsberg, who is also doing the (gimmicky) AC/DC beer. Standard Karlsberg pilsner + new packaging = 1.5 year life cycle = *yawn*

This looks to be part of the Karlsberg family of beers, which I think is a German BMC equivalent. Would that make Hell Yeah "Krafty"? I guess any time you see a beer you've never heard of before that has such a professionally done up website, that's always a hint...

Side note, but I'm not sure I've ever actually had a Karlsberg in my three-ish years here.

EDIT: Einhorn beat me to it!

Looks like Karlsberg has a kind of very old fashioned view of Rock'n'Roll. A Rock'n'Roller has to be a tattoed freak with a huge beard and a grimacing face. Looks like an imaginary Prost-scene from "One flew over the ****oo
    s nest".

Yep. Here's the proof. By the way, the ACDC beer was the absolute worst beer I'd drunk in Germany made by a German brewer, and that is worse than Turmbräu, Oettinger, Paderborner, the 0,5 label of REWE, and the swill Aldi sells.

ACDC, Hell Yeah, and the Warsteiner Becks artsy bottles and cans are complete marketing over product. They look to be learning from U.S. marketing but only packaging crap beer in it. To me, this seems to be the answer for them for the ever diminishing beer consumer, the young 20-somethings and teenagers are are now shunning beer as an Opa-Getränk. Again, they seem to be going after the Red Bull/vodka crowd.

This is not even near "krafty;" this is a really lame pandering to a demographic with pure marketing and a horrible product.

Get yourself some of this, Boddhitree, you won't absolutely will be disappointed! Bonus points if you try the Cherry version which has to be even worse, I'm convinced.

Urghh... One of the worst things I have ever tried. And it's marketed as an Eastern German speciality (containing lots of added sugar).

Have you seen the "Gude" beer in Frankfurt? It's also one of those marketing beers, this one more with a regional approach towards Hessen. It's brewed by Schmucker, whose beers are mostly fairly respectable. But trying this "Gude"-beer was just a waste of time.

There's nothing wrong with a clever name as long as that isn't the only thing a beer has going for it.
I always giggle a little with beers like "Quad Dammit" and "Admiral Ackbar's It's a Trappist" which are apparently both great.
