SA Pumpkinator Release

Picked up my one limit at the College Station Specs, then headed to the Hollemann HEB and picked up a second off the shelf. No limit there ....about 5 left but probably more in back.

 

Fill lines are irrelevant as the needle will sometimes go lower than others and cause the beer to fill at diff levels.

Seems like there is a problem with their capper though

 

Both of mine have slightly tilted caps but I detected no leaks.

 

Brodie HEB received 8 cases today, and Whole Foods Arbor Walk got 4. Both stores with 1 bottle limit, and product isn't moving.

 

Went to Arbor and noticed the cap on the Pumpkinator I got was tilted but wasn't leaking. The guy still got me another with a cap that was fine.

From the other bottles I grabbed at CM North Lamar they were all fine.

 

Picked a few up at Alon. Caught a few leakers but mine seem to be fine.

 

Please, I'm going to be selling my Sailing Santa from last year that was selected with care from Whole Foods Kirby in December 2012. I took a 1 pint 6 fl oz Sailing Santa (who I affectionately named "Chris") straight to my Rare Beer Preservation Chamber located in Midtown so this masterful brew could age in peace.

$225 please.

 

Anyone been to a Pumpkinator tapping at a bar yet? I'm curious how crazy it is, since you can't resell a pint/pour on craigslist

 

I went to Hay Merchant last night and had a glass of the 2012 Pumpkinator on draft. Definitely quite a few people there drinking it (or this year's on cask), but it wasn't crazy.

 

Recieved a faulty tilted cap that fizzes and leaks. Thanks for the provided info and email.

 

Good luck with a response, I didn't get anything.. took my bottle back and to the liquor store I bought it from and they were nice enough to replace it.

 

that's what Spec's twitter said to do.

 

Curious as to how easy it is to tell if it leaks. Caps seem straight on all of mine and tilted it upside down a few times with no leaks. They've been upright since I bought them so there was no leaks on accident.

 

Haven't heard anything back yet either. I may just recap them from some homebrew bottle caps, since the store I got em from is all out and I didn't keep my receipt.

 

But they'll oxidize and you'll ruin your wahle!
I'll trade you a Pumpkinator for more of your Berlinerweiss.

 

That's disheartening. Suppose I'll search for my receipt then..

 

Our [email protected] address is handled by our office manager/executive assistant. Every email is responded either by her or by some other department she directs it to. This email receives hundreds a week, and possibly a day during this time a year. I'm glad you were able to get the bottle replaced but please don't think that if you didn't get a response within a day that we won't address the issue.

 

I heard HEB on Fairmont Parkway in Pasadena got 10 cases and put them out on the floor for sale with no limit. Some cat walked in and bought all 10 cases!

 

Ha thanks! I wish I still had more left! And, I changed one of the caps out quickly, barely saw any daylight, gonna see if that work. I'm not too worried about my bottles as they will be drank pretty quickly. But the two I were sending to a friend and a trading partner was what worried me.
