Damn Total Wine. Went in today with my wife and we asked at the front desk if they were holding all the Pumpkinator there, and the guy said nope its back on the last aisle. Went back there and the beer guy sent us back to the front. A guy walked in front of me and got the last 2 bottles at the front desk. I asked the employee why he sent me to the back and he replied "I don't work here." ......umm then why did you tell me to go the back? The guy in front of me was super nice and offered to give me one of the two he got, but I didn't want to take his allotment so I thanked him and went about my merry way and got two at Specs. I just wanted to complain about the stupid guy at the front desk telling me to go to the back when he didn't even work there...why say anything if you don't have any clue what you are talking about?

You should be supporting local and buying your wax at Austin Homebrew!. That's where I get all of mine, and they sell wax in beads, not blocks, so it's easier to use

Excuse my ignorance, how do you wax the bottles?

Well, I mentioned that one specifically because the wax is so solid and such a pain in the ass to get off, and I love the copper metallic. But yes, cutting the blocks to get in a soup can is a bitch. Also, they charge a lot for shipping.

Post them on IG when you get a chance.

An even cheaper and slightly prettier way is detailed here. Crayons are obviously readily available, and mini glue sticks can be found at most office supply stores or hobby stores.

If you want specific colors of crayons, crayola sells an 18 dollar box of 64 crayons of four colors online (18 includes shipping) or many places sell 8 and 12 packs of single colors. For instance, metallic silver at Amazon is $5.

Waxed some new bottles this morning, including my case of FBS

To swing this back on topic, I noticed that all 6 of my Pumpkinator bottles developed air bubbles under the wax after I waxed them. Probably not a good sign....

I'm less afraid now that I've waxed them, but am still worried about how long the seal has been compromised....
