Did the air bubbles pop? If so that is an escape route for the co2.

None of my Pumpkinator caps look off center, but I am definitely in rent don't buy mode for this year's vintage.

Wow that is disheartening indeed... I'll have to wax my bottles to day in order to see if i also develop that bubble. Not sure if '13 will be a cellar-able year now...

You need to lay off that Mexican Kmello, I swear you have been waxing these non-stop!

 Other ones were the regular Mexican Cake. This one is a BA. I trade for a lot of Westbrook stuff (get the Gose if you havent had it - heavenly)

This part has me nervous about this method:
"Three things to wrap up. First, this is purely cosmetic. Don't expect the wax to provide an oxygen barrier or anything like that. This is all about presentation, and it's a great way to finish that 'special' batch.

I don't think wax in general provides an oxygen barrier (I might be wrong with this). I recall reading that wax was primarily cosmetic and a good way to find out if you had a leak, etc.

Although someone please clarify and correct my ignorance if otherwise.

While wax doesnt provide a 100% oxygen barrier, my understanding is that it does reduce oxidization and is simply another layer of protection for bottles. As for the crayon/glue stick method, I dont think its as thick or as effective as actual bottle wax, and is much more cosmetic in nature.

I strongly discourage the use of glue sticks + crayons unless you have a well ventilated area...

One of my bottles had a bubble that exposed the cap, but I just dipped it again. And to be honest, I like my stouts a bit lower on the carbonation so I'm not too worried. The fact that it made a bubble at all leads me to believe that it's still carbonated enough. We'll see. Ken, I like the way the FBS looks with the wax.

that vine has a little "requiem for a dream" of craft beer fast-cutting montage feel.

    well done.

I double waxed them all, even triple waxed some where the bubble seemed to be delicate.

    Umm dat FBS...

Jez, I can't believe the amount of CO2 leakage I'm hearing about with this release...

That's gonna suck for the dudes that bought a dozen cases, lolz.

Flat walez, bro. Drink it like a fine oxidized sherry.

Doesn't help either that all SA caps/bottles are twist-offs as well.

Man, this might force people to drink the beer they buy.

    Oh, the humanity!
