It's also in line with Bruery and 50/50 pricing. Which may be a more fair comparison, since all those Belgians are something like 6-10 before importing.

Agreed - as much as I enjoy these beers, if it comes down to same/similar prices between Goose or Cantillon/Drie Fonteinen/etc (even if I have to order them) I'm almost always going with the Belgian masters...

The one thing is does is worry about a possible price increase for BCBS, BCBS variants, and BC Barley Wine. I have no problem with a small price increase due to increased bottle size, but you aren't getting that much more. I feel like these beers sat for awhile last year, and I can only imagine these prices making them sit even longer. Not to mention what bars and restaurants will charge for them.

I'm not familiar with Foremost Liquors out of Villa Park, but according to BeerMenus, they are pricing the Sisters as follows:
    Gillian @$27.99
    Halia @$21.99
    Juliet @$22.99
    Lolita @$18.99

The rest of their prices seem comparable to what I'd see at Binny's.

They have Big John at a laughable $14.99, DFH 120 for $10.99, and a few other things that are a bit over normal for the burbs. So, you may see these at a slightly lower price elsewhere.

And for Lolita/Juliet, you may find smaller places that don't update the SKUs with the new prices, like the places charging $13.99 last year.

    And so it begins......

    Binny pricing:
    Gillain - $29.99
    Halia - $22.99
    Juiet - $24.99
Lolita - $19.99 (not positive on this one)

In my experience, that place is good for certain things and sketchy for other things. If a bunch of nerds keep calling or swarm upon it I wouldn't be surprised if those prices end up being different.

Guess all I'm buying is BCBS from Goose from now on...

For the Price of Gillian you could order a Lou Pepe or St. Lam, shipped. That's tough to counter.

Legitimate question, don't mean to be sarcastic in any way, but why is Gillian $29.99?

It is similar to Peche 'n Brett by style, and if you can find bottles, PnB is (was?) priced between $19.99 and $24.99, and Logsdon costs are typically a bit higher than the typical GI product. Is the cost to produce that much higher strawberries vs. peaches?

I assume you need much more Strawberries since the flavor is more delicate, leading to higher production cost for a strawberry as opposed to peach, grape, etc. beer. Can anyone substantiate this?

If we're comparing peach to peach, Halia @ $22.99 for 765ml seems on par with Peche 'n Brett. Not saying that justifies GI's pricing but food for thought.

I'll buy a bottle of Halia, and I'll stock back up on Lolita. Juliet and Gillain I may be passing on.

My guess is that they had a smaller yield of Gillian and the price reflects a lot of wasted beer/barrels.

I haven't had a chance to try Halia or Gillian yet. Are either/both sour or are they essentially fruited-saisons?

Categorized as 'wild ales' they're saison base with fruit, brett and I"m sure other bugs aged in wine (I think both wine wine).

IMO Gillian is one of the best beers Goose has ever made.
