Adnams/Stone Supremely Self-Concious Black Ale for Wetherspoons. Hunt it down and drink as much of it as you possibly can. One of the best Spoons beers in a long time.

Kernel Export India Porter. It's more like a Black India Ale with that hoppy goodness going on but it's very tasty!

    Hambleton's Stud
    Point IPA

The Point IPA is pretty good, but interestingly it wasn't in the BA database. Brewed in the states but it seems to have been produced for the UK (or European) market....

I found that in a random bottle shop for 99p. Very good for that price. Not worth the £3.49 sometimes charged for US beers though ...

I got a bottle of Saddler's Mud City Stout
now it was £1.49 but seeing as this was from B&M's
and Tesco's offer of 4 for £5 works out at a bargain £1.25
but none of the best beers are on that offer
and this is a whopping 6.6% & made with cocoa, vanilla pods, molasses, treacle & liquorice.

I have a soft spot for Newkie being an old metalhead
in a lot of rock venues the bitter was keg and watered down so the broon was the best of a bad bunch

but all of the special editions, they are not even worth the 59p they get sold at the bargain shops

Talking of bargain shops Belhaven's Wee Heavy are back in big stock
so will open one to round off the night

Grabbed a couple of the Mud City Stout from B&Ms, sounds right up my street. Didn't fancy any of the other offerings so repaired to the local 'Spoons for 'Spoonfest '13. There I got myself around fish and chips and the Fat Head and Stone brews. You can't mistake where the Fat Head crew were ensconced on their trip over. Below the biscuity malt and citric hoppiness there lurks the old Batemans salty pear drops. Stone's SS-CBA was a better foil to fish and chips and held its own, lovely and astringently bitter so I had a couple more.
