So I hear the lottery was announced and people are about to get their allocated bottles. I was just wondering if this is a beer to pull out the big guns for or if it is one where a lot of bottles are produced and given out with a nice bottle limit to people.

Just wondering as this is near the top of my hit list.

I'd say somewhere in the middle between what you mentioned as options while sorta closer to the former scenario. But if it's at the top of your hit list then offer up a generous bounty and I'm sure you'll get it.

it's an ipa made multiple times a year and there was no shitshow to inflate the value this year. shouldn't be tough to land if you offer anything decent

Someone heard at GABF that there were roughly 650 people that entered the lottery, and KRBC will pick 300 people with a 6 bottle limit. They haven't addressed how they will distribute bottles that are not claimed if lottery winners do not pay or pick them up. $7 per bottle. I think the wildcard is the ~300 people that will end up with bottles, and how they will trade them.

Depending on the Cantillon, hopefully you'll get multiple Citras.

[take this with a grain of salt, I'm just passing on what I read on another thread...]

Since KRBC is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, if someone wanted to trade Citra DIPA for IPAs made by another brewery in the middle of nowhere, would you think it's unreasonable?

Pretty sure that first comment was sarcasm. (Right?)

I'm not sure if it was. The lottery is pretty civilized compared to people driving several hours and getting shut out.

I got a couple last year + Blabaer + Black Tuesday for a 2007 Cable Car. I thought Citra was great, but not worth the hassle to trade for. I much prefer Heady, Double Sunshine, HF IPAs. Nice tick though.

You probably got lucky in that trade. Most times people want some pretty limited bottles for their Citra allotment.

Because it's twice a year, right? 1800 bottles? And I think it's pretty tough to land?
