Watching the Sox and man they are going down way to easy. Started with a Enjoy By, Double Jack, Heady Topper, Dirt Wolf, Founders Porter, Sam Imperial, and a West Coast IPA.

In a smoked meat coma with a Founders Breakfast Stout , I had a old chub, and a Samuel Smith oatmeal stout earlier watching the Tigers.

Really nice session saison. Great yeast/spice complexity with moderate malts. Very robust and flavorful for the ABV
    [IMG]

Eh, this is pretty good. There was no real banana/clove flavor; more citrus/pear/apples with toast/wheat/honey maltiness. Had a real nice appearance in the glass though, fantastic head retention and color. I still suck at taking sideway shots by hand.

Delicious! Belgian stouts seem to be a real polarizing style, but damn are they delicious for me. Tons of chocolate/roast/toasty malts with moderate dark fruit/spicy yeast esters. Appearance is incredible, the signature glass really brings out a dense rocky head and incredible lacing.

    Cheers!

Good evening, BA! A twofer tonight, since I forgot to post the first picture yesterday as I should've...

At last night's Night Shift Mainer Weisse release party. Motuekanation DIPA in my glass on the left, Taza Stout in my lady's on the right.

And tonight's offering...my very last Founders Inspired Artist. Sad to see it finally go, but glad to have gotten a chance to try this excellent beer...thanks once again to Spartan13 for hooking me up!

This is okay. I immediately smelled and tasted the jasmine, but that faded and now it's tasting more like a porter. Not bad but I don't think I'll buy more.

You lucky bastard. That is my favorite IPA and I used to have it stocked in my fridge nearly year round when I lived in Cincy. Unfortunately, they don't distribute to Michigan, where I now reside. I'm visiting family in Toledo this weekend, and I plan on hitting every liquor store around until I find it, at which point I will clean them out. Enjoy.

I'm also drinking one of these tonight. It's a solid brew, but not as good as I was hoping. I guess I was expecting a little more of a kick in the tastebuds. It's very smooth and balanced though.
