This is one where I actually like when the hops have fallen off a bit. Nosferatu has not changed.

When I finish this post I will be cracking my first Nosferatu. Great Lakes does a good job on their beers so I have no fear of this being bad. But still anxiously waiting the return of Alchemy Hour!

Based on the title, I thought this was a complimentary thread..

And I'm going with that - many four packs later this season, they killed Nosferatu, again!

I kind of agree. Long time Nosfetatu drinker and Great Lakes fanboy here and I was thinking the same thing the past couple years. There is a possibility that it's my palate that has changed, but I don't think that's the case. It simply doesn't have that piney/lemony hop flavor and bitterness it always had. It's definitely a lot maltier.

My friend told me to get a bottle while I was in VA for a bottleshare with him. I was not a big fan.

Just reread my review from 2009 and looked at a couple from this year.
Yep, the brew has changed. I don't want to spoil the fun, but as Lincoln F Sternn would say, "I have an angle".

This is the first year I have tried it so I have nothing to compare it to but I find it to be malty and a bit hoppy HOWEVER, this is exactly what I expected from reading the bottle, so...

You are not spoiling any fun for me. Have had plenty of Great Lakes, Alchemy Hour still the best beer they produce. Nosferatu, tonight was my first time. It is not a bad beer and as for your thoughts I can respect that because you have drank Nosfertau longer than I have. It is all a matter of opinion.

Would it be illegal to skimp on a few ounces of hops per barrel and not tell anyone or just a jerk move?
