once again, ufmj is an absolute animal!! night number 2 out of 3 of my Hoppin Frog series! I love what the barrel aging did to this. the whiskey comes through pretty strong, but i love who the base beer is still the main focus (not a fan when the barrel aging completely eradicates the base)! love it! Cheers BA!

 

I grabbed that beer on a whim, has terrible reviews and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was the best of a group of three between Hoodoo and Short's Kind.

So hyped I managed to snag this recently... A local bar had this on sale for $13 about a week ago. I couldn't believe it! Sometimes the craft beer gods are generous...

With the nights' getting cooler, I have stocked the fridge with appropriate ales. At the moment, having my FIRST ever pint of McKenzie Brewings' CDA. A nice effort, kind of a "dry" finish to it thats' nice, IMO.

I still have two more of those and the Jack/Kens B-wine. I bought the whole lot of availability in my area last year after being blown away by both. Prime time right now. Unfortunately the Grand Cru was all gone, but it is also doing incredible as of recent(had earlier this year). Wish I had more of it.

Just got back from a very pleasant night at Toronado...

 

Yeah I actually had the black barleywine maybe 2 months or so ago, was totally blown away. Got it at the same bar I got the Ken and Fritz at, actually. I remember loving the grand cru when it came out, unfortunately that's the one I can't find any more of. Oh well, was lucky enough to have the other 2 recently so I can't really complain!
