Port Brewing / The Lost abbey Veritas 012 is a sour "lambic" - brewed with Michael Jackson in the Senne Valley of Belgium before his death. The beer was then fermented and aged in Pappy Van Winkle 23 year barrels until the beginning of 2013 and was continuously hopped with Galaxy and Mosaic until September of this year."

Weird. This is what I see when I look up their Facebook page.

I might have an extra ticket. Guy might have to bail on me for family stuff, but he still paid for his ticket and want's his bottles so those wont be included. Don't have any other friends that into beer and would want someone that can appreciate what they will be tasting at the event. So if someone just want's in the door I'll know more in a couple days.

I wouldn't ask the moon for it since I'd be keeping the bottles. Just seeing if there's any interest.

I'm assuming the bottles would be $35 each leaving $30 for the event itself.

that's an awful and selfish deal..at least sell 1 bottle to the person going with you..

The bottles aren't being kept for me.

If I we're muleing I have plenty of people to join me (I'd also would've went for 4 tickets and not the 3 I bought),

I'm just throwing this out there if someone wants to attend with a buddy but missed out on tickets. Hopefully they will have the option to buy extra bottles at the event.

If nothing comes of this then a friend with no love of beer will go and probably wont like anything he/she drinks.

$30 for unlimited Lost Abbey beer, special barrel tasters, and food is an awful deal? I haven't been to Barrel Night in a couple years, but last time I went, I felt that the value of just the food and drink was definitely $30, in spite of some complaints/imperfections.

If all you're concerned with are the bottles then obviously it's not up your alley, but there are a lot of non-traders/non-tickers who would jump at the chance to just go eat, drink, and try a few special beers for $30.

Actually I feel like tickers would love it. But as a gesture shouldnt he just offer the ticket up to a BA for free and his friend pay 50$ a piece for the bottles? Seems like the going price for LA bottles anyways these days. 41$ for DDG and CC was 60$. Not to mention you make a friend and have good company...just my 2ยข though.

Actually it should satisfy the tickers too. Presumably they'll have a chance to try it on draft at the party, thus completing another tick.

I agree though. $30 doesn't sound too bad to attend. I need to figure some stuff out but I might be interested in attending if Aaron's friend drops out.

I'm not 100% asking for $ at all. That was just an option. I wouldn't be upset at a trade either, nothing spectacular. Like I said, I'll know more in a couple days if it's a for sure thing or not.

I'm not doing this to make a profit at all or make anyone upset. Just offering it to someone that would enjoy barrel night on it's own.

are the drinks at barrel night included in the ticket? I haven't been before but I understood it to mean that the tasters there would be associated with a cost, but if it's all inclusive I'd appreciate a verteran chiming in.

"The price will include samples of the barrel-aged rarities as well access to the core lineup of Lost Abbey Beers."

"Fine cheeses, artisanal bread, and an exquisite selection of cured meats and pates will be available, with suggestions for each pairing."

Also get a commemorative Lost Abbey glass.

Nobody knows if there is an option to purchase extras yet either, so whoever does come along might have the opportunity at bottles anyway.
