Been a month or two since I had Enjoy By, but having Dirt Wolf right now I must say, I don't miss it all that much.

The Oracle is a boozy mess. Damn that beer is disgusting!! How it gets a 94 rating is beyond me. Love Smuttynose, never had Jai Alai yet(yet give it time). BrooDoo, One of my all time favs!

Its hard to replace something that you really like. I've had many of the Enjoy By, and their latest one was my favorite to date.
Here are some 'hoppy' beers maybe not all as fresh, but still very enjoyable. These should all be available in New York. We can get these in CT, so it shouldn't be a problem in NY. I've put the City/State of some of the local ones.
    • Stone - Ruination
    • Green Flash - West Coast IPA
    • Lagunitas - Hop Stoopid, Little Wild Sumpin
    • Ithaca Beer Company - Flower Power IPA (Ithaca, NY)
    • Sierra Nevada - Hoptimum Imperial IPA
    • Dogfish Head - 60 and 90 Minute IPA
    • Founders - All Day IPA , Harvest Ale
    • New England Brewing Company - Sea Hag IPA (Woodbridge, CT)
    • Ballast Point - Sculpin
    • Sixpoint - Resin (Brooklyn, NY)
    • Two Roads Brewing Company - Road 2 Ruin (Straford CT)
As mentioned before, I would try to get my hands on a fresh Heady Topper. Or a trip up to Waterbury, Vermont might be very worthwhile.

"I'm not a fan of IPAs but I loved Enjoy By???" What??

Uh...you're a fan of IPAs friend. Buy Ithaca Brewing's recent release of Box of Hops. Just came out on the 17th.

for me Dogfish Head 90 Minute and Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. I've had some others but these are my favorites (besides Enjoy By).

Nah man, I didn't really think it was boozy, I did however give it a pretty low score (3.88) because it was unpleasantly bitter and imbalanced, and I love Palate Wrecker, Ruination, Arctic Panzer Wolf, etc.
No offense or anything, but I think OP will be disappointed if he/she picks up 90 Minute looking for similarities with Enjoy By. They're really almost nothing alike, considering 90 Minute is a very, very East Coast style IIPA bordering on an English take on the style. It's a malt bomb of an IIPA, which Enjoy By is certainly not. Hop Stoopid is a good recommendation, but again I don't find it overly close to Enjoy By, though that could be chalked up to a difference in palate.

    Sweet Gaahl avatar, though.

90 Minute has a bottled on date now- if you get it less than a month old it's a damn fine beer. I don't find it similar to or as juicy as Enjoy By, though, but still quite a good IPA to branch out into if one is becoming familiar with the style.

My two best options have already been mentioned- Dirt Wolf and Hop Stoopid- so I'll just reiterate those, not as a replacement but more in the ballpark of what the OP likes at this point. Plus, around here you can't exactly get Enjoy By every day of the week.

Dirtwolf is a great answer, as is regular Ruination. WCIPA is another great answer, although that I think is a bit more clean and crisp like Finest Kind.

You may enjoy some wet hop beers, which are hitting the shelves now. Look for Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere, Great Divide Fresh Hop, Founders Harvest, etc.

Another beer I don't think was mentioned was Southern Tier 2XIPA. Just be sure you get it fresh, as in within one month of bottling. I find it to go downhill very fast once past the first month.

Had Heady Topper once and it was everything the reviews said it would be--just very difficult to obtain in NY. Union Jack and Double Jack are widely distributed and are reliable stand-bys. Victory just came out with DirtWolf, an imperial IPA that I believe rivals many of the highly rated DIPAs. Give it a try.

Ithaca Flower Power, NEB Gandhi-Bot, Lagunitas Sucks, Troegs Perpetual, and even though it's a very different beer, if you like hops, but not bitterness, get some Founders All Day.

Thanks for all the responses. I just emptied a growler of Flower Power last week; probably didn't have it as fresh as I should have though. It's a nice little beer, but I didn't find it to be in the same class as Enjoy By. I've had the FW Jacks and didn't enjoy them terribly much either. West Coast was also a dud for me. Bengali Tiger was decent, and I haven't tried Autumnation yet.

I've been trying to get my hands on Founders Harvest, but have come up empty so far. I'll look for DirtWolf, Autumnation, Jai Alai, and Sucks (when does that one come out again?).

Where in New York do you live? If you are within 75 miles of Peekskill get there and get some Higher Standard. Doesnt taste like Enjoy By but it is a great DIPA.

Love EB but I just finished (barely) a growler of the 11-13 and was somewhat dissapppointed...I've heard others here describe it as an 'onion bomb' but never understood....Now I do. Hopefully the bombers don't taste the same.

Dirtwolf. It is a gamechanger from the standpoint of availability/cost/drinkability.

Look for Lagunitas Sucks soon as well.
