I had 3 of the 4 of those (didn't have love child), plus Single Wide IPA, and I wasn't impressed at all. None of them were bad, but nothing jumped out at me.

I like everything! Like I said, not bad, just didn't jump out at me. But you'll be hard pressed to ever hear me call a craft brew bad. The last bad beer I had according to my notes, Roy Pitz Daddy Fat Stacks over the summer.

Hope this hits western PA as I have not yet had a chance to try this one from Boulevard. I enjoyed Sixth Glass so I would love to get my hands on this. Prices i read on here sound pretty reasonable too.

To each their own I guess. Im actually trying their Dark Truth stout for the first time as I type this, and I'd like to say this is, to me, every bit as good as expedition. Have plans to age the rest of this pack, but its drinking so well right now, I might have trouble with that.
Oh well, theres too much good beer out there than to dwell on one brewery that just doesn't do it for you.

do you guys really like this?

I thought it was like... a cross-over between flander's red and quad but with very thin body.

I guess it was interesting enough to try but I would probably never buy this again.

honestly, i felt like it (2011 and 2012; not had 2013) was indeed like a cross between a flanders red and a decent quad but thin... but also a nice hefty barrel character to boot. none done particularly well on their own, but a really nice combo, and the mouthfeel isn't so bad. the oak is the clincher.

this is a beer i'd never turn down, and would buy reasonably regularly.

Glad I tried it (it appears it very recently arrived in Texas). I opened a bottle at work to split with some coworkers who were upset that I only brought one six pack of Weihenstephaner Original to enjoy. Most didn't like it at all, the only girl who did wished it were a little weaker ABV. But hey, these are college students. Of course they aren't huge fans of weird beers like this. It wasn't my favorite, but I did like it. Don't think I liked it enough to buy again though. I'll stick to Saison-Brett, which I'll say for the 100th time is the best beer in the world and I could drink it all day every day.

    Thank wrw5031

I am in Alpharetta and it stores around here today. I know Olde Crabapple tree bottle shop and ROyal liquor have it for sure. I would expect total wine to get some too,

Was in Denver for GABF and this was in about every single liquor store and each place had cases....

I guess take that for what it's worth (I did buy a single bottle for $15).

I don't know if I'd call this a "weird" beer, but I can certainly understand why most college students wouldn't be into it, just like I wouldn't expect most college students to appreciate a nice scotch or brandy.

Their problem is that they're (generalizing, of course) accustomed to drinking volume and in a fairly short amount of time. BBQ is the very definition of a "sipping beer".
