The beer store up at my school in Maine just got a shipment of Maine Beer Company's new beer called MO according to their Facebook page. Unfortunately I am on spring break at home in MA, and I doubt I would see it here, especially on the Cape. Has anyone tried it yet?

"MO" is a Pale Ale listed at 5.5%. It's named after the brewers twins Madeline & Oliver ("MO").

That's cool. From previous posts it sounds pretty hoppy , can't wait to try it.

I was not impressed with Mean Old Tom at all. It wasn't bad by any means but it wasn't anything special either especially for the price.

Yeah although every batch is slightly different. Did not like it when I picked up one from the first batch down in MA this year. But I had it a few months later at the beer dinner at sel de la terre and they had pulled back on the vanilla a bit and I thought it was really good. The other brother in the company actually talked to me about how most of their brews change minutely from batch to batch (minus peeper) and talked about how the vanilla had been toned down in this one so it wasn't just my imagination..

I agree and I'd really hope to see their prices come down a bit as they grow. I do buy and support them, but I'd buy a hell of a lot more Peeper at $3 than $5-$6.

get zoe into $10 four packs and i'd buy it every time i see it. (notice that this is basically saying "cut the price in half").

as is, i'll always buy a bottle of fresh zoe if i see it, but this wouldn't be true if i actually saw it every time i go to the store. get it to the 20~25 cents per ounce area and i'd make sure never to let it leave my fridge regardless of supply.

Glad to hear it's on shelves. I'd gladly forgo a decrease in price points in their regular lineup if it allows them to release surprises throughout the year.

Enjoying my first MO now. Bottled on 2/23/12 [Nod to MBC for bottle dating]

Very dry finish for an IPA without a trace of that tropical fruit thing I'm always looking for.
Not really doing that piney resinous thing either.

I like it a lot. Not sure I REALLY love it. Will try again soon.

    It's not an IPA.
