I'll be the first to admit that it's no Portland, but the beer scene here just gets better and better all the time.

Glad to hear you had a great time!

I don't think NFL teams have facilities like this. No expense was spared. It was amazing while kinda disgusting at the same time.

I tend to agree with you, but then I'm not from Eugene, nor am I an alumnus. Needless to say, however, most Duck fans in the area (probably no more than 99% of the population here), have no idea what you're talking about.

Sort of like giving money to the church... if you can afford it, then how can it be too much or too lavish.

Good news. Notorious is on tap at The Hoppy Brewwer in Gresham. Nice place and it only $5 for 10oz. Thanks for the suggestions.

Anyone know if it's being tapped anywhere soon in Seattle?

Not that I've heard. Oregon tends to get Notorious on a more regular basis than we do.

I don't even want to know what they are charging for this. Maybe i've been blinded by my love for their hiking-obsessed bar, but sh1t is it overpriced...

Yeah, I rarely make it over there, so no idea what it'll be. Last week or the week before it was on tap at The Yard. A nice pour for $5-6 (happy hour price). I had two.

Headed down to Eugene on friday for, yep you guess it considering my profile pic, the tool concert @ matthew knight. I havent read the comments extremely well here but did someone say notorious is on tap somewhere in Eugene? Can any of you fine gents let me know where i could have a run in with this stuff? I've only had RPM, which was phenomenal, but would love my notorious cherry popped!

Currently on tap at Growler Guys in Eugene (as of last night). Pints are $3.99, and half growlers (32 ounces) are $9.99. (no full size growler fills of notorious). If you can find a copy of the Wednesday newspaper (the Eugene Register-Guard), there's a coupon in the tastings section that will give you a dollar off on your pint of notorious, and your glassware there (for the first growler fill) is free.

I get the impression that the latest round of notorious kegs down here have all but dried up. It's been almost a month since I started seeing Notorious around Eugene again; most places that carry a lot boneyard beers buy as much as they can as soon as it hits town, and they tap it soon afterwards. That being said, your best bet to find Notorious in Eugene would be at places like Bier Stein, 16 tons, the tap and growler, the steel pail and growler guys. All of those places have on-line tap lists that they keep pretty up to date, so you can check there when you get into town.

As for GG, you're probably right, but it's probably still worth giving them a call when you get into town. The price and restriction to 32 ounce growlers will slow up the demand somewhat, and then the 12% abv. will likely have some folks thinking twice before buying it as well. There have been times when 16 tons has had a keg on for over a week, so it's not impossible you might luck out over at GG.

Where are you "headed down" from? If you're in or near Portland, we have it on tap at the station right now. I doubt it'll last until Friday, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
