Guess I'll be the first to throw this out there. Current members have from today (October 23) until Wednesday, November 13 to renew. After that, I'm guessing they will evaluate how many additional memberships they can sell, so I imagine new memberships will be on sale at the end of November.

Can't say I'm excited about a $50 price increase and the lack of Persica on the list (for now). But Seeing Dry-Hopped L'Brett return is exciting and all the beers sound pretty awesome.

The 2014 Cellar Reserve will run similar to the 2013 Cellar Reserve with a few exceptions that include a price increase to $350 (+tax). Below is an outline of what will be included next year:

    Cellar Reserve 2014
    - 2014 Membership Card
    - (2) Cellar Reserve exclusive stemware glasses
    - (1) Long-sleeve Cellar Reserve Member’s shirt*
    - (1) Cellar Reserve Member’s Tin Tacker*
    - Access to purchase specialty bottle releases at 15% discount (subject to allocation limits)
    - First right of refusal for 2015 Cellar Reserve membership
    - 15% discount on all taproom purchases @ The Source
    - Future planned Cellar Reserve member events (additional charges apply)
*There will be an option to purchase additional shirts and tin tackers in the near future

The 2014 membership will also include (10) different Barrel-Aged sour beers (each bottle release includes (2) 375 ml bottles per release, with additional purchases available if the yield permits) to be released throughout the year. Cellar Reserve beers bottled for 2014 will ONLY be sold through this program and will not be available in our taproom or at retail (except for the odd keg/case or two for special events). Below is a list of the anticipated beers for 2014. Please understand that some releases are still “To Be Determined” as making sour beer is an art and our creativity is ever changing, just like the seasons and seasonally available fruit and spices.

    - (2x, 375ml) Raspberry Origins*
    - (2x, 375ml) Cherry Bretta*
    - (2x, 375ml) Dark Origins - Fruit Sour*
    - (2x, 375ml) Petite Sour – Blueberry*
    - (2x, 375ml) Passion Fruit L’Brett d’Or*
    - (2x, 375ml) Dry-Hopped L’Brett d’Or*
    - (2x, 375ml) Apricot L’Brett d’Or*
    - (2x, 375ml) Nightmare on Brett – Port/Sherry Barrel*
    - (2x, 375ml) TBD Specialty*
    - (2x, 375ml) TBD Specialty*
*Denotes beer is a Cellar Reserve exclusive

As well as receiving the above listed beers and merchandise, additional beers will be made available to Cellar Reserve Members throughout the year.

I agree. $50 more kind of sucks, but the beers look awesome. I'm in!

I would take Dry-Hopped L'Brett d'Or over Persica any day. Easily my favorite beer of theirs. Of course getting BOTH in a year would be nice... but how can you really complain with either?

Also charging tax this year so it's $378 total

I was hoping for the return of Oculus, but as you mentioned, not much to complain about next year's list as it is.

    The $50 price hike, however...

Oculus wasn't a member beer though so that might make it's return like Origins.

I'll be ready when memberships do go on sale.

True. I was hoping for an Oculus variant, but I guess a regular batch would probably be released first.

With all of the Persica about to rain down on us, I don't mind. I still think that Cherry BA Origins is the best beer they've made to date, and I wasn't expecting that at all.

I think the Raspberry Dark Origins is the best beer they've made to date. Really, they're all so awesome that I won't hesitate to renew, but the price hike does hurt a bit.

I agree, won't have a chance to try Persica for another few weeks and whaelzblood came close, so we'll see if that changes. Zeke's also blew me away.

If any out-of-stater needs a trustee for 2014, let me know. I'll probably sign up too.

Apricot L'Brett d'Or I'd imagine would be pretty close to the L'Brett based Persica....

The Cherry Origins is/was to my knowledge. They posted the unsold Persica bottles to the masses yesterday and they sold out in less than 5 minutes. I'm guessing they won't make it to retail based on that.

Actually, that might have only been for members, too (the e-mail doesn't specify)...but either way, the additional bottles went on sale at noon yesterday and were gone almost immediately.

I wish they'd bring back Sentience and variants honestly. The BBA Sentience is right up there with Raspberry Origins and Persica for best of their beer IMHO. Oculus was amazing too

An 8% increase for taxes will not be fun either. Also, if the membership price is going up, does that mean bottle prices will go up too?

Yeah, the sale Monday for was members only.

Hmm. I don't remember loving the Bourbon sentience that much, but I've still got 3 bottles, so I guess I'll have to revisit it again soon.
