Founders Harvest Ale was made from the tears of babies and virgins and a blown kiss from the woman or man you find most attractive on the face of the earth - whoever that is, their blown kiss is in there.

It is beyond delicious and Founders made it. Doff your hat.

I wanted to give it another shot, and it really isn't that expensive, at least I don't think so. I picked up a four-pack for $10, which is what nearly all four-packs/six-packs around me go for.

Ha, after 400 posts in this thread and chasing this beer for 4 weeks now..."last years was better" :grinning:

Had 1 after work. Appeared to be slighty darker, more copper tone. Definitely more boozy and malty which overrode the hop bounce that I remember from last year (easily drank a case). More bitter. Resiny mouthfeel is still pretty solid. Kind of reminded me of a wet hopped Head Hunter (?). Not quite, but just what struck me at the time.

I still think it's damn tasty and I'll buy a bunch more, but it falls a little short from what it was. Won't ruin it for me. Cheers

Just curious, but did you forget about the 2012 bottle or purposely age a wet hop beer for a year?

Just got my first 4-pack today. Missed it last year. Stoked to try it tomorrow night!

I thought last year's was the crispest and most drinkable IPA (along with ZD) that I had ever had. This year's didn't quite leave that impression on me but it was still really good.

Rescued a lost soldier. Got it from a friend who had forgot he had it. Figured I'd give it a shot and it was great. Much mellower than this year's batch obviously but the flavor was excellent.

I've got an extra 4-pack if any one is interested in a trade. Wants would basically be anything good I can't get in Michigan.

Tons of it avail at my local store and no limit. Wondering if I should buy more for trades. If I didn't have a ridiculously overstocked fridge of great beer I'd buy more.

It is available in Chicagoland. Picked up a 4pk along with FBS. Looking forward to trying the Harvest Ale (I already know I like FBS)!

Drinking a harvest ale now, tasting just as good as ever IMO. Not sure why everyone is hating and all the "last years was better hoopla."

Much worse then prior vintages IMO. It really lacks the wet resinous character I loved in previous years.

2013 HA is still a really good beer but I prefer the lower ABV version of years past.

How rare is this beer? My local shop was only selling one bottle per person.
